Four year ago i discovered Bakuman, I was in kind of a difficult point of my late teenage years, basically questioning myselft if the degree i just started at college was the right for me and if i could ever ,well, make my dream come true, i felt..........talentless, but ........the show helped see that dream arent easy and you should never expect them to be easy . I just send the first half of my tesis a few hour ago and casually stumble again to this song......no joke, i shred a tear .

Absolute banger of an OP. No one ever talks about how amazing this anime and OP are! It reminds me of Summer 2019 when I first started watching this anime, I had a dream of making comics and this anime helped inspire that! :) Unfortunately, I stopped making them, but I always think this anime is so inspiring for folks wanting a creative outlet as a career.

I don't know if it's just me but I really appreciate the instrumentals in this opening. Whenever that guitar sequence during the first 5 seconds of the song started, I would always get so excited for the events of the upcoming episode. This combined with the electric guitar part and the awesome bass line, as well as the seamlessly integrated piano, drums and string instruments make for an amazingly well composed and well performed instrumental. Not to talk of the great vocal performance and inspirational lyrics. An amazing opening for an amazing anime. Wish it were more popular and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this show. Chase your dreams!

Wow, this NEVER gets old. This 2 minutes of glorious music and lyrics summarize my creative career! I was born in a small town of a third world country in the 80's, no place for creative dreams whatsoever. But I had them, unachievable dreams for the odds.
20 years later I find myself with a wonderful family, 6 published books, prizes for short movies and board games, and now with two movies being produced simultaneously, one in Europe and another in the US.
Whoever reads this, against all odds, if you dream and work hard enough, if you perfect yourself day after day, YOU CAN MAKE IT AND LIVE THE DREAM! Failure is part of the process, just like Bakuman depicts, but the prize in the end is priceless! NEVER GIVE UP!

Wow i didn't notice it before but there is actually some nice foreshadowing in the lyrics. At around 0.35 they said 'In 10 years, I'll be living the dream' and in the anime it took Mashiro 10 whole years to fulfill his dream.

I read Bakuman from September 2013 through January 2014. That was around the time when I decided I wanted to get good at drawing and make my own manga. I've improved a ton since then, but still have a ways to go before I can start drawing the main story that's in my head. Little by little I'll get to the point where I can make it.

I remember my friend telling me how good it was and he recommended it, so I rented them out. Was one of the most inspiring mangas to read. i have dream too when i was child, i really like reading manga , and that time sometimes wonder if i can be a comic artist and entertain readers and make them happy

Im still going on to be great comic artist, and this pandemic year hit me hard, make me trigger things from the unhealed wound from the past and going through hard days, make me depressed, lonely, feel things messed up i failed making comic before etc.,
but im trying to get up last month now and i starting again little by little, i currently drawing again and making comic/webtoon and hopefully soon this year i will publish it online
