Starts with a rash and ends in a band
Try to contain it but it's spreading wide
Getting in the way is just suicide
Call for the Doctor
But he won't bring no cure
Landslide is coming
It's knocking down your door
It's an Outrage
We've got a Rock 'n' Roll Outbreak
It's an absolute Outrage
We've got a Rock 'n' Roll Outbreak
What's with all the racket screams and noise
Someone better shut that terrible voice
Radio gone silent keeping it away
Kids got the virus from the Pirate Bay
You best believe it
ItÂŽs just a matter of time
You will receive it
It's an infectious rhyme
It's an Outrage
We've got a Rock 'n' Roll Outbreak
It's an absolute Outrage
We've got a Rock 'n' Roll Outbreak
Call on the doctor, ThereÂŽs no cure
Coming to get you, breaking down your door
It's an Outrage
We've got a Rock 'n' Roll Outbreak
It's an absolute Outrage
We've got a Rock 'n' Roll Outbreak
In the song "Smoke N Roll" by Smoke, the lyrics describe a musical plague that is spreading across the land. The plague begins with a rash, symbolizing the initial introduction of rock 'n' roll music, and ends in a band, signifying the widespread adoption and popularity of the genre. Despite attempts to contain it, the spread of rock 'n' roll music is unstoppable, and anyone who tries to resist it is doomed to fail. The lyrics suggest that even the Doctor, a symbol of authority and control, cannot bring a cure to this rock 'n' roll outbreak.
The song portrays the outrage and fear felt by some individuals who view rock 'n' roll as a disruptive force. The racket, screams, and noise associated with this genre are seen as a terrible voice that needs to be shut down. The radio has gone silent in an attempt to keep rock 'n' roll away, but even the younger generation has been infected with the virus, potentially referencing their embrace of illegal file-sharing through platforms like the Pirate Bay. The lyrics suggest that it is just a matter of time before everyone succumbs to the infectious rhythm and the rock 'n' roll outbreak becomes universal.
Overall, "Smoke N Roll" can be interpreted as a rebellious anthem that celebrates the power and influence of rock 'n' roll music while highlighting the resistance and fear it faces from conservative forces. The song portrays rock 'n' roll as an unstoppable force that transcends boundaries and defies attempts at control or containment.
