Sons Of Korah Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And may His face shine on us
That Your ways may be known on the earth
Your salvation among the nations
May the peoples praise You
May the peoples praise You
And may they all sing for joy to You
Because You rule the peoples with justice
And guide the nations of the earth
May the peoples praise You
May the peoples praise You
And the land will yield it's harvest then
God our God, He will bless us
And all the ends of earth will fear Him
God our God, He will bless us
May the peoples praise You
May the peoples praise You
The lyrics of Sons of Korah's song "Psalm 67" express a heartfelt plea for God's blessings and grace upon His people. The song begins by acknowledging the desire for God's favor and presence to shine upon them, with the intention that through this, God's ways and salvation may be made known on the earth and among all nations. This sets the stage for a collective prayer of praise, with the aspiration for all people, from every nation, to recognize and honor God.
The second verse emphasizes the hope for all nations to experience joy and gladness, as they sing praises to God. It highlights God's role as a just ruler and a guide for all the nations of the earth. The repetition of the chorus reinforces the central theme of the song, calling for all peoples to offer praise to God.
The final verse speaks of the abundant blessings that will follow when the land yields its harvest. The belief is that when God blesses His people, it will inspire reverence and fear among all the ends of the earth. The song ends with the reiterated call for all peoples to praise God.
