I used to knock Status Quo as a three chord chancer band until I saw them play live at the tennis stadium in Dubai. They rocked my socks off and the high degree of professionalism in the playing totally changed my opinion of them. As a guitarist in a cover band, I know that the opening bars of any Quo song will fill the floor - except In The Army Now - and that gets them singing along.
