Jo-Ann Greene writes about "Mind Control" AllMusic.com: "Stephen has continued to grow, adding new sounds and styles to his repertoire over the years. A conduit to the past and a bridge to the future, his music -- like his father's -- sounds timeless: reggae that embraces the world."
2004 he started the 27-city Bob Marley Roots, Rock, Reggae Festival tour with his four brothers and sons of Bob – Ziggy, Julian, Damian and Ky-Mani – each of whom have their own professional recording careers. The tour was the first time the brothers have officially performed together on stage.
Every February in Miami, Marley and his brothers perform at his family's annual Caribbean Festival in honour of their late father Bob Marley.
Walking Away

Wait and me show love but my heart is free,
Telling me something I mostly agree,
This little lesson I'm learning real well, well
Well well well
Pass through the country where we used to live,
Their blessing to
Give,
Trying to give in their truth and right,
Well well well well
And I say, and its easier to say whats to hard to do,
Good things to one another,
I should have done for you,
And it's hard to say when it's easy to do,
Bad things to one another,
Like I did to you,
And I saw you walking away,
My soul was crying that day,
Never knew love was this way,
Whoa well well well,
And I see you walking away,
My heart goes crying each day,
Never knew love was this way,
Yeah, and then you say,
It's so easy,
To say what's hard to do,
Good things, good things, good things,
I'd love to do for you,
It's hard to say,
When it's easy to do,
Bad things, bad things, bad things,
I couldn't do to you,
Wait and me show love but my heart is free,
Telling me something I mostly agree,
This little lesson I'm learning real well,
Well well well well
Pass through the country where we used to live,
All of those people,
Their blessing to
Give,
Trying to give in their truth and right,
Well well well well
And I saw you walking away,
My soul was crying that day,
Never knew love was this way,
Whoa well well well,
And I see you walking away,
My heart goes crying each day,
Never knew love was this way...
The lyrics to "Walking Away" by Stephen Marley speak of heartbreak and the realization that it's not easy to love someone else. The singer confesses to making mistakes in the relationship and acknowledges that it's easier to say what's right and hard to do it. He says that people in his life are trying to impart their truth but it's still hard for him to act accordingly. As the song progresses, it's clear that the singer regrets his actions and sees his partner walking away. He says that his soul is crying and he never knew love was this way.
The lyrics depict the pain of losing someone you love due to one's own mistakes. It shows the vulnerability of someone admitting their fault and realizing the fact that love is not easy. We often say things that we don't mean or do things that we regret, but it's only when we lose something we realize its value. The lyrics provide a lesson that it's hard to love and maintain a relationship, and it requires effort and dedication. The bridge portrays the longing to do good things for someone we love and the remorse of not being able to do them.
