Steps Lyrics

Here and now I want to be the one for you
In everything you want me to
Cause I couldn't live if were apart
Time is running out on you and me
Cause nothings what it used to be
I guess I'm the only one to blame
Forget all the sorrows you bear within tonight
Believe in me when I say
[Chorus]
Say there is something I can do
If I can make it up to you
For every time I let you down
And I promise you to make it right
Forget all the sorrows you bear within tonight
Believe in me when I say
[Chorus]
Here and now lets tear down the walls together
It's better late than never
I know that we could find a way here and now
I'll be there for you
[Chorus: x2]
Here and now I want to fall in love again
And try to be the best I can
So give me a chance to win your heart
In Steps' song "Here & Now," the singer expresses their desire to be the one for their loved one, willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. The song acknowledges that time is running out on the relationship, but the singer promises to make amends and forget the sorrows of the past. The chorus repeats the sentiment that the singer couldn't live if they were apart from their loved one.
The verses suggest that the singer has let their loved one down in the past, but they want to make things right. The singer acknowledges their role in the problems of the relationship and promises to take action to fix things. The bridge suggests that the two can tear down the walls between them and find a way to make it work. The song ends with the singer seeking a chance to win their love’s heart again.
Overall, the song is a plea for a second chance, with the singer acknowledging past mistakes but still holding hope for the future.
