Following the demise of legendary Moreno Valley, California bands Foundatio… Read Full Bio ↴Following the demise of legendary Moreno Valley, California bands Foundation and Optic Rain, synth-geek songwriters Nathan Van Hala and Stevil sought a viable outlet for their creativity. With the addition of John Pereyra on guitar, Kristen Van Hala on flute, and Kayvon on bass, the band forged a unique sound in the burgeoning Inland Empire alternative music scene. With its brief lifespan flashing through the mid-'90's, the band splintered into factions, leaving behind a modest catalog of material culled from their two self-released demos, plus a few unreleased tracks. Members Stevil and John Pereyra went on to form the mind-melt marvel that is Brainwashaudio. Nathan Van Hala, while at the time already being a member of both Saviour Machine and Shadow Project, later went on to play with the likes of West Indian Girl and Eagle WInged Palace.

I'm confused about their definition of faith. I've been handling venomous snakes since 1976. My first was 2 baby copperheads. My grandfather was cutting a ditch bank on the family farm and started moving a rotten tree out of the way when he saw something moving in the pile. After seeing it was several baby snakes he called me over. I was actually very close by helping him. I went up to the barn and gathered up my things to get the snakes out safely. After force feeding these babies they finally started eating on their own. I already had several other snakes rescued from around the area. Mostly rat snakes and 1 beautiful corn snake along with my 2 hognose snakes. All were rescued out of people's house's or sheds,and one was in my uncle's bathroom. Anyway after handling the copperheads for about 3 years and realizing that these snakes probably won't make it own their own especially after being spoiled rotten I decided to get a rattlesnake. After researching I decided to get a Eastern Diamondback due to the large surplus of anti-venom just incase. After help from my parents and getting the proper paperwork completed not to mention nearly spending all my savings I finally got my gorgeous rattler. A very active male. A family friend from Texas came over and spent hours teaching me some of the dos and don'ts. Like always making sure the aquarium is locked. And never assume the snake is tame. Along with lots of other things. After several years of having Happy,my rattler and feeling comfortable handing him I would let him out in the yard to stretch out and get some fresh air. At nearly 6 feet long and full of energy his favorite sunning spot was on a large flat black rock. With no neighbors for miles and everyone gone it was the perfect time for Happy to sun. Getting to my point about faith,God has filled this world with all kinds of gorgeous creatures including venomous snakes some of which are definitely beautiful but he also gave us a brain to use. Don't play with wild lions or crocodiles. Don't jump in a fire. Don't jump in a empty swimming pool. Don't stand in front of a fast moving train. And so on. In other words don't play with venomous snakes they will bit you. My advice to these people is simply. Read the Bible obey the commandments. Don't tempt your God. Last bit of advice if you want to play with snakes be gentle with them and use non-venomous snakes. Oh yeah don't drink antifreeze to prove your faith have a glass a port wine instead.

Ok but the big difference in using wine versus venomous snakes during your sermons is the wine doesn't run the risk of biting you and killing you... I'm all about people having the right to worship the way they see fit, but this is just plain dangerous, as well as ignorant.
