〈Lyrics〉
We're singing in the chill of the morning
Still drunk on our options
Til' the angel of settling down
(stirring in our beds)
Never thought I'd find you in the trappings of potential
(I'll be there)
What's a soft -
Ray of moonlight...
Thus we anchor each other
With the ghost of living it up
(whispering in our heads)
Never thought you lose me in the trappings of kinetics
(I'll be there)
Is a sharp
Ray of sunlight
Piercing our dreams
In a darkroom...
All the things we made of loneliness
A double L-piece spun from a late-night text
Work was the loom, love was the spool of thread, we were weaving to and out of our element
Now the deadlines a-breathin' down our necks, whatchu gonna make for me of your happiness
Love is that the loom, we are the spools of thread, being woven to and out of our element
So we dance through our love in the evening
Wanna sleep in judgement
With the saints of soldiering on
(trying to forget)
If we're gonna--
Rose coloured trappings of potential
Down in the perfect incompleteness of getting any
Happiness
(there's a sharp)
Ray of sunlight
Piercing our dreams
In a darkroom
Till we throwback
The curtains that sing
In the dark
Clear
Morning
@michaelbarton6910
I've made an attempt, but I think I have some words wrong.
We sing in the chill of the morning
Still drunk on our options
To the angel of settling down
Stirring in our beds
Never thought I'd find you in the trappings of potential
Happiness
Was a soft greater moonlight
Thus we anchor each other
To strollers in Brooklyn
With the ghost of living it up
Whispering in our heads
I bet you'd thought you'd lose me in the trappings of kinetic
Happiness
Is a sharp ray of sunlight piercing our dreams
In a dark room
Oh the things we made of loneliness
Double LP spun from a late night text
Work was the loom, love of a spool of thread
We were weaving to and out of our element
Now the deadlines are breathing down our necks
Whatcha you gonna make of me of your happiness
Loves at the loom we are spools of thread
Being woven to and out of our element
So we're dance through a lull in the evening
Born of sleeping children
With the saints of soldiering on
Trying to forget
We ever donned the rose-colored trapping of potential
Or doubted the perfect incompleteness of kinetic
Happiness
Is a sharp ray of sunlight piercing our dreams
In a dark room till we throw back the curtains and see
In the cold clear morning

Wonderful. I'm 73 and started crying this morning from discouragement...it scared me. Then I heard this. Did me so much good. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, with tears in my mind but seeing light.
@Noah-qs8kd
Wow thank you for sharing! Never lose heart or hope. Music like this uplifts the soul
@leemski
Thanks for sharing your emotions. Never give up. Tears are important, they wipe out the sorrow. Great you see the light, always search for it. Sending you love and cheer thoughts. Stay safe!
@elkiness
@leemski Thank you. Feeling better.
@smithbros1000
I'm only 63. This incredible ear candy brings both tears and smiles. Dude, find the rest of the "Goat Rodeo" music. The smiles will outweigh the tears.

I truly believe this is one of the best songs written in a very long time.
