PARADISE & DREAMS
Into Your Eyes
Styles & Breeze Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You can't fool me tonight
You can't try to be unkind
I can only imagine
What's going through your mind
Second Verse
Prosecco on the table
It's your second glass of wine
And you're starting to unwind
Chorus
When you're closing your eyes Needing just a little spark
Trying desperately to see the stars All alone here in the dark
But you can't find what you need, to ease your restless heart
When you're closing your eyes And I'm falling apart
3rd Verse
Trapped inside a memory
And its stealing you away
Leave the past behind
And finally let it be
4th Verse
Let me take Your Hand so, you can finally feel free
The love you lost along the way Can be the peace you need
Chorus
When you're closing your eyes Needing just a little spark
Trying desperately to see the stars All alone here in the dark
But you can't find what you need, to ease your restless heart
When you're closing your eyes And I'm falling apart
When you're closing your eyes
And I'm falling apart
The song "Into Your Eyes" by Styles & Breeze is a romantic ballad that speaks to the struggles of two individuals trying to reconcile. The first verse sets a mood of emotional sensitivity as the singer confronts the other person about their behavior. The singer exposes his or her vulnerability by confessing that they are not fooled by the other person's actions, and they sense something is wrong. In the second verse, the songwriter describes the environment, painting a picture of a somewhat intimate setting with a bottle of prosecco on the table, insinuating that they are together. The chorus is impactful and poignant, reflecting on the challenges both parties are facing. The references to unfulfilled desires and restlessness in their heart speaks to the pain that both of them are experiencing. The lines "when you're closing your eyes, needing just a little spark" and "but you can't find what you need, to ease your restless heart" highlights the emotional struggles of the person they address.
The third verse talks about how past memories trap the person they are talking to, and they want them to leave the past behind so they can move on. The song suggests that the other person is struggling with letting go of their past or moving on from a significant event. The fourth verse appears to offer a solution to their problem. The singer offers to take their hand so that they can finally be free from their past and find the peace they need. The song ends with the chorus, highlighting the distance and disconnection between individuals even when they are together. The final line "when you're closing your eyes and I'm falling apart" shows how even when they are together, they are not truly connected.
