Read Full Bio ↴Superchick consists of: Tricia, Melissa, Matt, Dave, Max and Clayton.
Superchick got their first break opening for Audio Adrenaline in 1999.
In 2000, the band self-released their first album, Karaoke Superstars, which was later re-released once they were signed to Inpop Records. Having had songs appear in Legally Blonde, Cadet Kelly and on several television shows including the Real World and the X-Games, Superchick is one of the most played garage bands.
The band's line-up has changed over the years. In the beginning, there were eight members, including crew. Members credited for Karaoke Superstars were sisters Tricia [lead vocals] and Melissa [guitar, vocals] Brock, brothers Matt [bass] and Ben [drums] Dally, Dave [lead guitar, keys] Ghazarian, Andrew [percussion] Vegas, Dan [lighting, pyro] Larson, and Max [keys, guitar, turntables] Hsu.
With the release of their second album, Last One Picked, the line-up listed Tricia, Melissa, Matt, and Max with the addition of Justin [lead guitar] Sharbaro and Brian [drums] Fitch. Their remix album, Regeneration, marked the return of Dave, with Tricia, Melissa, Matt, and Max returning. The release of Beauty from Pain brought with it the band's current incarnation with the addition of Brandon Estelle on drums. Recently, Clayton [drums] Hunt, formerly of Christian rock band Dizmas, joined the group in replacement of Brandon.
After releasing four albums through Inpop, Superchick signed a deal with Columbia Records to re-release "Beauty from Pain" through the larger label.
Rock What You Got

The ones who lost their rock and roll
Rise up you lost ones, claim your crown
You were born to rock inside your soul
Welcome misfits, orphans, all
The ones who feel they don't belong
You were made to rock, so stand up tall
Go rock the world and prove them wrong
Rock what you got, rock what you got
Don't ever let them make you stop
Rock what you got, light up the lot
No one can rock the way you rock
This one's for originals
Who strike out towards the great unknown
Fear not the missteps, take the falls
The rock you find will be your own
Rock what you got, rock what you got
Don't ever let them make you stop
Rock what you got, light up the lot
No one can rock the way you rock
Rock what you got, rock what you got
Don't ever let them make you stop
Rock what you got, light up the lot
No one can rock the way you rock
This one's for the beaten down
Who gave up on their rock and roll
Lift your eyes from what drags you down
You were born to rock inside your soul
Rock what you got, rock what you got
Don't ever let them make you stop
Rock what you got, light up the lot
No one can rock the way you rock
Rock what you got, rock what you got
Don't ever let them make you stop
Rock what you got, light up the lot
No one can rock the way you rock
Rock what you got, rock what you got
Don't ever let them make you stop
Rock what you got, light up the lot
No one can rock the way you rock
The song "Rock What You Got" by Superchic[k] is an empowering anthem that speaks to anyone who has ever felt like an outsider or has had to overcome obstacles to pursue their dreams. The lyrics encourage listeners to embrace who they are, even if it means going against the norm and standing out. The song starts by addressing those who have lost their "rock and roll," which could be interpreted as a loss of passion or a sense of identity. However, the song urges them to rise up, claim their crown, and rock what they've got inside their soul. The chorus repeats the message of not letting anyone make you stop and encourages listeners to shine their own unique light and rock the world in their own way.
The second verse speaks to the originals who are forging their own path and taking risks. The message is to not be afraid of missteps or setbacks, and to trust that the rock you find will be your own. The final verse repeats the message of the first, but this time as a call to action for those who have given up on their dreams. The song is meant to encourage listeners to be proud of who they are and to believe in themselves, as no one else can rock the way they rock.
Overall, "Rock What You Got" is a positive and uplifting song that celebrates individuality and encourages self-confidence. The lyrics are a reminder that there is value in embracing your own unique journey and that you should never let anyone else define who you are or what you are capable of.
