Tomorrow
Superheroes Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I've got two things in mind and one of them is you
I know I got nothing to
Loose except the one I love the most
Oh yeah, it's good good good to be
Together
But it would be bad bad bad to live forever
I bet tomorrow everything will come my way
Its like seven wild horses
Trying to pull me down
I bet tomorrow everything will bring me joy
I take your hand in mine and wish you all the joy
Cos when you have no
One to talk to I'll be standing right here by your side
Its good good good
To be together
But it would be bad bad bad to live forever
I bet tomorrow everything will come my way
Its like seven wild horses
Trying to pull me down
I bet tomorrow everything will bring me joy

I bet
Tomorrow everything will come my way

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Superheroes' song Tomorrow seem to express a sense of uncertainty about the future, while also conveying a deep appreciation for love and companionship. The opening lines, "I've got two things in mind and one of them is you," indicate that the singer is torn between two paths, one of which involves the person they love. However, they also acknowledge that life is unpredictable and that they may have nothing to lose except for the person they treasure most.

The lyrics also speak of the power of love and the importance of having someone to share life's challenges with. The lines "when you have no one to talk to I'll be standing right here by your side" express a strong commitment to being present for the person they love, no matter what the future may hold.

The chorus of the song expresses the singer's hopes for the future - that everything will come their way and bring them joy. However, they also acknowledge the difficulties that may stand in their path, using the metaphor of seven wild horses trying to pull them down. Overall, the song seems to convey a complex mix of hope and uncertainty, as well as a deep appreciation for the power of love and companionship in facing life's challenges.

Not all heroes have powers.
Not all heroes have capes.
Not all heroes have gadgets.
Not all heroes have special talents.

All heroes have a reason to be there.
All heroes have a past.
All heroes have worth.
All heroes have faced their fears.

Not everyone is a hero, but every hero is someone.

When someone helps you, you help someone in return.

People work hard every day to make things better for everyone else.

The helpers need help sometimes.

Heroes have heroes, too.

Just because you're not a hero yet...

Doesn't mean that can't change.

Edit, 1-2 years later: I have an even better philosophy. You don't need to BECOME a hero. You already ARE a hero. Someone out there, somewhere, looks at your feats, and has found their Superman. Whether that be someone suffering from depression seeing you keep on going and living regardless of your own, or someone with an obsessive-compulsive condition like dermatillomania seeing you find new ways to cope and rewrite the code in your brain, someone, somewhere out there, sees you as a hero. They look up to you. You are their Superman. You are their Wonder Woman. You are their HERO.

And if you really, truly believe nobody out there sees you as a hero?

Well, that's a lie.

Because I do. YOU are my hero.

I like that part when it says "All her life she has seen
All the meanest side of me
They took away the prophet's dream for a profit on the street

Now she's stronger than you know
A heart of steel starts to grow

All his life he's been told
He'll be nothing when he's old
All the kicks and all the blows
He won't ever let it show

'Cause he's stronger than you know
A heart of steel starts to grow

When you've been fighting for it all your life
You've been struggling to make things right
That's how a superhero learns to fly
(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

When you've been fighting for it all your life
You've been working every day and night
That's how a superhero learns to fly
(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

All the hurt, all the lies
All the tears that they cry
When the moment is just right
You see fire in their eyes

'Cause he's stronger than you know
A heart of steel starts to grow

When you've been fighting for it all your life
You've been struggling to make things right
That's how a superhero learns to fly
Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power

When you've been fighting for it all your life
You've been working every day and night
That's how a superhero learns to fly

(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

(Power, power, power, power, power)
(Power, power, power, power, power)

(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

(Power, power, power, power, power)
(Power, power, power, power, power)

(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

She's got lions in her heart
A fire in her soul
He's got a beast in his belly
That's so hard to control
'Cause they've taken too much hits
Taking blow by blow
Now light a match, stand back, watch them explode

She's got lions in her heart
A fire in her soul
He's got a beast in his belly
That's so hard to control
'Cause they've taken too much hits
Taking blow by blow
Now light a match, stand back, watch them explode, explode, explode, explode

When you've been fighting for it all your life
You've been struggling to make things right
That's how a superhero learns to fly

(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

When you've been fighting for it all your life
You've been working every day and night
That's how a superhero learns to fly

(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

(Power, power, power, power, power)
Oh, yeah...
(Power, power, power, power, power)

(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

(Power, power, power, power, power)
(Power, power, power, power, power)

Ooh, yeah
Whoa

(Every day, every hour
Turn the pain into power)

When you've been fighting for it all your life
You've been struggling to make things right
That's how a superhero learns to fly"

This song reminds me so much of Nebula and Rocket, especially after Endgame.

When you've been fighting for it all your life
You've been struggling to make things right
That's how a superhero learns to fly
Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power.

I think that tells the story of them perfectly. Both were repeatedly disassembled and therefore had to suffer incredible pain.
Both were not heroes at first, but criminals or bad guys. But later they both became real heroes and turned the pain into power.
My absolute favorite Guardians.

This song came up as a reccomendation from YouTube during my darkest times struggling with anorexia, depression and anxiety and it made me feel better about myself. Still recovering from a suicide attempt and this song makes me smile. Blessings to you all.
