Far From Home
Swanky Tunes Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When I step out
In the moon light
will shine like the sun
All the people
They'll be moving
To the rhythm
Far beyond
Sometimes i feel
Like i'm far from home
Sometimes i feel
Like i'm far from home
Sometimes i feel
Like i'm far from home
Sometimes i feel
Like i'm far from home
And when the rhythm hits
They don't wanna stop
Gonna take this to the top
And at the time
They spread their wings
I'm already gone
Sometimes i feel
Like i'm far from home
Sometimes i feel
Like i'm far from home
Sometimes i feel
Like i'm far from home

Sometimes i feel
Like i'm far from home

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Swanky Tunes' song "Far From Home" convey a sense of longing for a place of belonging. The singer describes feeling like an outsider, as though they are "far from home," despite being surrounded by people and music. They paint a picture of an exciting night out, where the moonlight illuminates the party-goers and the rhythm takes over. However, even amid all of this excitement, the singer is still searching for a deeper connection.

The repetition of the phrase "Sometimes I feel like I'm far from home" emphasizes the singer's feeling of displacement, while the line "when the rhythm hits, they don't wanna stop" highlights the collective energy and joy felt by everyone else in the crowd. The final line, "I'm already gone," suggests that the singer is resigned to their perceived isolation and ready to move on from the fleeting sense of belonging they feel in this moment.

Overall, "Far From Home" is a song that captures the bittersweet feeling of being both surrounded by people and isolated from them. It speaks to the universal desire to find a place where we truly belong, even if that place is never quite within reach.

Such a sick song, vocals are great, bass punches through the mix nicely and feels solid, and the chords are amazing and uplifting

Wow... That drop is insane !!!!!! :o
And the melody is also really great but I'm very surprised by the drop.. Swanky Tunes are on fire lately, and props to Going Deeper too, they seem to be awesome DJ's :)

This was quite a surprise for me to see, since I'm so used to the electro house tracks that Swanky Tunes produce, such as Full House, Stop in My Mind, Star Wars etc. I find this to be a very powerful & well mixed future/deep house track, where the drop is not too violent like Curbi, or not too deep like Pep & Rash, but we would need to thank Going Deeper on this, I think they'd have a pretty large influence on this track I think.

***** Yeah you're right, and I think especially on the drop which is really well-executed and amazing imo. :)
