T-Rock immediately moved to Memphis and began recording. His clever lyricism and tongue-twisting style immediately endeared T-Rock to fans all over the south. Widely regarded as one of the best lyricists to ever grace a Three 6 Mafia track, his appearances were partly responsible for the platinum successes of two albums and the sale of hundreds of thousands of other albums.
After a series of disagreements between he and his label, T-Rock decided to leave the Hypnotized Minds imprint he was signed to and embark on an independent career. Hooking up with his hometown crew Area 51, T-Rock went on to release several underground classics that have sold over 100,000 copies with barely any promotion or radio play. T-Rock has worked with a multitude of artists that include Too Short, Pastor Troy, Lil' Scrappy, Bo Hagon, Gangsta Boo, Lil Weavah, Max Minelli,Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Gangsta Pat, Al Kapone, Young Buck, Macboney & AK (of P$C) and Bizzy Bone just to name a few major names.
2006 was a great year for T-Rock and his fans as it saw the release of 'The Kush'. The album features production from M.A.J. of Xplosive Productions, DJ Cree, and T-Rock himself. Guest appearances include Max Minelli, P. Dukes of Countree Noise, and his Area 51 family. "This will be my most complete album to date," states the fiery emcee, "I've grown a lot and I believe its gonna show on this album." To say the south is waiting for this release would be an understatement.

Big Bllakk
O crime educa o meno'
Essa vida por cima e coisa linda
Ela sente meu gosto usando a lÃngua
Fala pra eu escurecer a famÃlia
Porque o mundo gira, diz
Seu filho quer ser preto, irônia
Cola o pôster, pula na festa
Manda mensagem e me segue no insta
Tu fica puto que agora nós pode
Antigamente só branco podia
Maioria do público e tipo burguês
Nunca me deram chance
Ignorava
Fizeram nada quando nós 'tava na fome
Sempre passaram longe
Hoje me pergunta porque tu some?
Ainda sou o mesmo
Só que com mais dinheiro
E geral sabe meu nome
Agora, eu 'to no Chile
Preto no topo portando
Só roupa de grife
Férias prolongada em Recife
Nosso prato não vai faltar bife
Várias doideira
Mas o bonde vai ter que vencer
Nem que o coração pife
Nem que eu more na casa do El Life
Ou me torne um ninja patife
Passo perto do play boy ele diz:
Esse garoto aà canta
Onde nós chega o tratamento é vip
Até minha coroa se espanta
The norte face, minha calça é 3 mil
Foda se o Trap me banca
Teve uma vez que almocei sem saber
Se tinha algo pra janta
Tudo que é bom dura pouco né
Assim dizia minha avó falecida
Tudo que é ruim me sufoca porra
Tipo viver num beco sem saÃda
E nunca ninguém percebe
O quanto é difÃcil vencer essa corrida
Tudo aqui me persegue igual querer paz
No meio do caos da vida bandida
E quantas vezes eu me senti foda
Por ter o melhor camarote?
Só não contei pra vocês da vez
Que eu chorei ao apagar os holofote
Eu já me vi na pior
No melhor momento
Cantando num palco gigante
Presta a atenção que na minha visão
A missão do palhaço é sorrir e ser forte
In these lyrics, T-Rock explores themes of power, struggle, and identity in the context of his own experiences. He begins by acknowledging the high expectations placed upon him as an artist and the lack of saints in the gray streets he comes from. He emphasizes relying on luck rather than the police, as he sees crime as a form of education for the underprivileged youth growing up in his neighborhood.
T-Rock then describes the allure of his lifestyle and the pleasure he derives from it. He boasts about the women who are attracted to him and his melanin-rich appearance. He mentions someone named Larissa, whom he assumes is attracted to him. He questions why he should run or hide from anyone, as those who seek power only desire a sense of control. He also mentions the irony of patrician girls wanting to have babies, suggesting they are looking for excitement and adventure by being with him.
The rapper criticizes the majority of his audience, whom he sees as bourgeoisie. He believes they use him for their own entertainment without acknowledging the struggles he faces. When hardship knocks on his door, he asks where they were and why they turned their backs on him. T-Rock questions why they are no longer around now that he has money and recognition.
He asserts that he has not changed despite his newfound success. He refuses to follow or associate with those who did not support him from the beginning, urging them to stay away. He believes it is better to give up and stay distant, implying that his success is only for those who have always been loyal to him.
T-Rock highlights the difference between being number one and being just short of perfection. He warns against using his name to expose any mishaps that may occur. He also criticizes those who are new to the music scene and think they have made it, comparing their status to someone who has just left their childhood days behind. He challenges their familial ties and their ability to stand up to him and his crew.
The rapper reflects on his past and how far he has come. He recalls living with his mother in a certain neighborhood, comparing it to a movie scene. He promises himself to avoid a life of crime, instead aiming to be in the spotlight. He depicts his current reality as glamorous, with a higher cost of living than even famous actress Bruna Marquezine. He also mentions his limited understanding of crime, suggesting that his knowledge only comes from what he has seen on a popular news show.
T-Rock confidently states that those who doubt his success will witness a black man at the top, donning only designer clothes and enjoying a prolonged vacation in Recife. He asserts that his success will not wane, even if his heart fails or he has to resort to extremes. He mentions living with someone named El Life (possibly a friend or fellow artist) and the possibility of becoming a rogue ninja.
The rapper then describes encounters with privileged individuals who are impressed by his talent and treat him with VIP treatment. Even his own mother is amazed by his success. He flaunts expensive clothing and references a time when he had brunch without knowing if there would be dinner. He reflects on the ephemerality of good things, comparing it to his deceased grandmother's words. He also alludes to the suffocating feeling of being trapped with no way out, likening it to living in a dead-end alley.
T-Rock shares moments of feeling invincible, particularly when he had the best VIP section at a party. However, he confides that he cried in private when the spotlight dimmed. He juxtaposes the highs and lows of his journey, illustrating the struggle of a clown to smile and be strong even when faced with personal challenges.
Overall, T-Rock uses his lyrics to shed light on the complexities of his personal life, the intersecting themes of power and struggle, and the importance of persistence and self-belief in the face of adversity.
