T-Rock immediately moved to Memphis and began recording. His clever lyricism and tongue-twisting style immediately endeared T-Rock to fans all over the south. Widely regarded as one of the best lyricists to ever grace a Three 6 Mafia track, his appearances were partly responsible for the platinum successes of two albums and the sale of hundreds of thousands of other albums.
After a series of disagreements between he and his label, T-Rock decided to leave the Hypnotized Minds imprint he was signed to and embark on an independent career. Hooking up with his hometown crew Area 51, T-Rock went on to release several underground classics that have sold over 100,000 copies with barely any promotion or radio play. T-Rock has worked with a multitude of artists that include Too Short, Pastor Troy, Lil' Scrappy, Bo Hagon, Gangsta Boo, Lil Weavah, Max Minelli,Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Gangsta Pat, Al Kapone, Young Buck, Macboney & AK (of P$C) and Bizzy Bone just to name a few major names.
2006 was a great year for T-Rock and his fans as it saw the release of 'The Kush'. The album features production from M.A.J. of Xplosive Productions, DJ Cree, and T-Rock himself. Guest appearances include Max Minelli, P. Dukes of Countree Noise, and his Area 51 family. "This will be my most complete album to date," states the fiery emcee, "I've grown a lot and I believe its gonna show on this album." To say the south is waiting for this release would be an understatement.

Goin' back to hoops
So many people
Just don't know what to do
And that's me included
It's the end of the line
I don't know what the truth is
I don't know what is mine
It feels like
No one's gonna save you
So tonight
You just gotta get through
And you can do what you want if you do what you can
I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend
If you look where you are, you can see where you've been
I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend, ah yes
Goin' back downtown
Goin' to another space
Lookin' for the people
Lookin' for the human race
Lookin' for a sound
Taken from another place
Don't know what you believe inI believe in the human race
It feels right
But no one's gonna save you
So tonight
You just gotta get through
And you can do what you want if you do what you can
I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend
If you look where you are, you can see where you've been
I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend, ah yes
And you can do what you want if you do what you can
I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend
If you look where you are, you can see where you've been
I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend
And you can do what you want if you do what you can
I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend
If you look where you are, you can see where you've been
I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend
In the song "What Ya Sayin" by T-Rock, the lyrics touch upon various themes and emotions. The first verse reflects a sense of returning to a conflict or battle, whether literal or metaphorical. The line "Goin' back to war, goin' back to hoops" suggests engaging in a competitive situation or facing challenges. The following line, "So many people just don't know what to do," implies a lack of direction or confusion among individuals.
The singer acknowledges their own uncertainty, stating "And that's me included, it's the end of the line." They express a lack of understanding about the truth and their own perspective, saying "I don't know what the truth is, I don't know what is mine." This could symbolize a personal struggle or feeling overwhelmed by the complexities of life.
The chorus emphasizes a sense of isolation and the need to persevere despite feeling abandoned or let down. "No one's gonna save you, so tonight, you just gotta get through" suggests a call to rely on one's own strength to overcome challenges and uncertainties.
The following verses highlight the search for meaning and connection with others. The lines "Goin' back downtown, goin' to another space, lookin' for the people, lookin' for the human race" convey a desire to find belonging and purpose in a world that may feel detached or disjointed. The lyrics mention seeking a sound from another place, indicating a quest for inspiration or a new perspective.
The repeated line "I don't care what you're doing if you do it to pretend" suggests a disregard for superficiality and the importance of authenticity. The lyrics encourage introspection: "If you look where you are, you can see where you've been." This emphasizes reflection on one's journey and experiences to find genuine meaning.
Overall, "What Ya Sayin" explores themes of self-discovery, perseverance, and the search for truth and authenticity in a confusing and disconnected world. It encourages listeners to find strength within themselves, seek genuine connection with others, and embrace their personal experiences as a means of navigating life's challenges.
