Choi Seung Hyun (최승현), better known by the stage name T.O.P (formerly Tempo… Read Full Bio ↴Choi Seung Hyun (최승현), better known by the stage name T.O.P (formerly Tempo), born November 4, 1987, is one of the two rappers and the oldest member in the South Korean hip-hop/R&B group BIG BANG that debuted in 2006, under YG Entertainment.

After appearing in several popular collaborations, in 2010, he released his official debut digital single, "Turn It Up". In addition to rapping, T.O.P is talented in beat-boxing.

YG's staff calls him Keun Seung Hyun, meaning Big Seung Hyun, to distinguish between the two BIG BANG members named Seung Hyun. Before joining BIG BANG, he performed in clubs and even won KBS Radio's "Rap Battle" in 2003 under the stage moniker of Tempo.
