Once I had a vision and a light
In the past, I had a clear goal in my mind, something worth fighting for and working towards.

Something worth my aspiration and a fight
This goal was so important to me that I was willing to put in the effort and struggle to achieve it.

And there was a time when all this only seemed
However, there were moments when this goal felt out of reach and unattainable.

Like some sky-aspiring vision I had dreamed
It was like a lofty vision that could only exist in my dreams, rather than a tangible reality.

Faded grey are all the days of yesteryears
The past has lost its vibrancy and seems dull and lifeless.

So much time has turned to memories and to tears
Time has passed and left a trail of bittersweet memories and painful experiences.

Lately I have often sat and thought till dawn
Recently, I've spent many sleepless nights reflecting on my past and contemplating the future.

Of the days that are to come and those forgone
I've been considering both the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, as well as my past mistakes and triumphs.

Seemed my time had passed me by
There were moments when I felt like I missed my chance to achieve my goal.

Like clouds across the sky
This feeling was fleeting, much like clouds that drift across the sky and eventually disappear.

I was lost just like a raven in the night
I felt directionless, much like a raven flying aimlessly through the darkness.

Most dreams waste away alas
Unfortunately, many people's dreams often go unrealized.

Mine all have come to pass
Luckily, all of my dreams have been fulfilled and achieved.

Since I laid my eyes upon my guiding light
Ever since I found my purpose and my driving force in life, my dreams have become a reality.

This guiding light is the Valkyrie, a symbol of strength and inspiration.

Late is now the hour of the day
I've been working towards my goal for a long time and it feels like time is running out.

And I've long ago run out of words to say
I've exhausted my energy and resources explaining my goal to others.

Deep within I had the will to find a way
Despite this exhaustion, I remain determined to achieve my goal.

Others fled to fight again some other day
Some people gave up on their goals and decided to try again at a later time, but I refuse to do so.

I've heard said that all is fair in love and war
I've heard that people can do whatever it takes to achieve their goals, even if it means hurting others.

That a golden key can open any door
There's a belief that a single solution can solve any problem or obstacle in the way of a goal.

And remember if you feel all hope is gone
In moments of despair, it's important to remember that there's always a glimmer of hope left.

That the darkest hour comes just before the dawn
Things often seem their bleakest and most hopeless just before an opportunity for success arises.
