Since 1986, she has released 11 studio albums.
She started her career with the Vikings of Guadeloupe, and sang background vocals in different bands until the start of her solo career in 1986.
Her breakthrough in France came with the third album,"Zouk à Gogo", which stayed in the French album charts for 14 weeks. After this, she sang with famous French artist including Johnny Hallyday and Michel Sardou.
After a break of several years Tanya returned to the music scene with her album "Secret".
In 2003, she toured US and Canada.

Merci. J'ai achete cet album en Martinique en 1999 quand j'etais etudiant a l'UAG. Je cherchais un album pour me faire souvenir du temps passe dans cet ile magique et enfin dans le centre commercial la Bateliere, j'ai ecoute un extrait de l'album. C'etait Ti Chou. Je me suis mis a pleurer en ecoutant. Elle captait tous les souvenirs, toutes les emotions , tous ce que je ressentais pour la Madinina. Maintenant j'ai deux enfants et je les fais ecouter cette chanson aussi.
