Taylor Lyrics

I'm finally on my way
Time has come to say
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
The bird is on the wing
The bell is about to ring
The big girl she's about to sing
The world will open wide
And I'm running with the tide
It's time to cut this side
And I must not miss my ride
Somehow I haven't died
And I feel the same inside
As when I caught this ride
When first I sold my pride
The way ahead is clear
My heart is free from fear
I'll plant my flag right here
Today, today, today
In this song, Taylor celebrates a great moment of change in his life. He talks about how he has finally found the courage to say goodbye and embark on a new journey, and how he is determined to make the most of it. The repetition of the word "today" emphasizes the significance of this moment and highlights the sense of urgency and excitement that characterizes it.
The first verse conjures up an image of a bird getting ready to take flight and a bell that is about to ring, both symbols of new beginnings and opportunities. Taylor also refers to a "big girl" who is about to sing, suggesting perhaps that he is ready to embrace his own identity and find his voice.
The second verse is about Taylor's realization that despite all the challenges he has faced, he is still alive and kicking. He feels the same inside as when he first started on this journey, and he is now ready to face the road ahead with a sense of clarity and determination. He plants his flag as a sign of his commitment to this new phase of his life.
Overall, the song is a celebration of self-discovery, courage, and resilience. It encourages listeners to embrace change and take risks in pursuit of their dreams, knowing that the way ahead may not always be smooth, but it will be worth it in the end.

"Today Was A Fairytale"
(from "Valentine's Day" soundtrack)
Today was a fairytale
You were the prince
I used to be a damsel in distress
You took me by the hand and you picked me up at six
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale
I wore a dress
You wore a dark grey T-shirt
You told me I was pretty
When I looked like a mess
Today was a fairytale
Time slows down
Whenever you're around
But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale
You've got a smile that takes me to another planet
Every move you make everything you say is right
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale
All that I can say
Is now it's getting so much clearer
Nothing made sense 'til the time I saw your face
Today was a fairytale
Time slows down
Whenever you're around
But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
Time slows down
Whenever you're around
I can feel my heart
It's beating in my chest
Did you feel it?
I can't put this down
But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale
