The band appeared on the Chilean music scene in 2005, as one of the finalists in the 6th annual National Young Band Festival at the Balmaceda Cultural Center, Santiago. Their first EP (self-titled) was released that year and a self-produced album, Gran Santiago, followed in April 2007. The song "Eras mi persona favorita" became their signature tune.
Attention from the Chilean media increased and they appeared several times on TV and radio. Their second album, Bailar y Llorrar, was released in 2008.
Then, suddenly, in October 2009 they announced that the band was separating, leaving the members to pursue solo projects. Anwandter released work as Odisea and, later, under his own name. Cristóbal Fredes is part of Los Mil Jinetes.
La literatura

La literatura es buena
Mata el alma, la envenena
De qué literatura habla?
No dije pero lo pensé
No se demoró en responder
Me dijo corre
No entiendo nada nada nada
Me dijo corre
Papapa-papapa-papapa-papapa-papapa-Uhhhhhhhhhhh...
Me dijo corre
Me dijo corre
Me dijo corre
"La Literatura" by Teleradio Donoso is a song that starts off with the lead singer being told that literature is good. He responds by wondering what type of literature the person is referring to as it poisons the soul. The person promptly responds to his thoughts by telling him to run away because literature is not what it seems and it has a party that will not end. This leads to confusion and frustration as the singer does not understand what is meant by a party in literature.
As the song continues, the lead singer becomes more confused and frustrated as the person speaking to him continues to use metaphorical language. He tells the singer to run away because literature is like having ghosts that haunt you during the day. Despite the singer’s confusion, he eventually realizes that the person is referring to the dangers of addiction to drugs, parties, and excess, disguised by the guise of art, culture and beauty.
Overall, "La literatura" is an allegory for escapism and the dangers that a person faces when they fall prey to addiction. The lead singer’s confusion and frustration at the beginning of the song reflects the struggle that many people face when they first encounter substances, parties, and people with unsavory intentions. The allegory shows how the superficial veneer of appearances that focus on short-lived pleasures often cover darker, more dangerous undercurrents. The refrain, “me dijo corre,” which translates to “he told me to run,” is a warning to the person listening to the song to beware of addiction and to run away as fast as possible.
