The band appeared on the Chilean music scene in 2005, as one of the finalists in the 6th annual National Young Band Festival at the Balmaceda Cultural Center, Santiago. Their first EP (self-titled) was released that year and a self-produced album, Gran Santiago, followed in April 2007. The song "Eras mi persona favorita" became their signature tune.
Attention from the Chilean media increased and they appeared several times on TV and radio. Their second album, Bailar y Llorrar, was released in 2008.
Then, suddenly, in October 2009 they announced that the band was separating, leaving the members to pursue solo projects. Anwandter released work as Odisea and, later, under his own name. Cristóbal Fredes is part of Los Mil Jinetes.

Me gusto, es una buena banda y hacen buena musica, yo creo que no los pasan en la tv por que simplemente no son comerciales, y eso es algo que hace que me gusten todavia mas!!!!

Yo los conocí hace poco y me deslumbré con su música, puesto que no me pongo como weona a comparar lo incomparable. La música se disfruta nada más.

Monse Aparicio The Velvet Underground nunca tuvo reconocimiento popular y son una de las bandas más importantes de la historia. Hay muchas bandas de mierda como ésta que son populares... pero les dura un tiempo. Hoy nadie los recuerda.

Independiente si gusta o no, ¿Qué pasa que estos videos no los pasan por la TV? He visto muchas bandas chilenas que han hecho videos de muy buena manufactura pero la TV, tanto de señal abierta como la por cable no se pone como debería con la difusión... al menos está youtube, espero que exista más apoyo!
