Pioneers and figureheads of the ambient drone metal subgenre of extreme music, their stylistic influence can be found in numerous other bands that have followed. With a sound that fused layered guitar drone and complex yet fluidly shifting time signatures, The Angelic Process forged new musical ground, and over the course of three studio albums and two EPs, developed and refined a sound that has been described as "the sound of the soul."
The band was known for their unique and engaging live performances. Blasting noise, complex melodies, droning guitar resonance, rippling bass, tom-heavy martial drums, and haunting, ethereal vocals collided to create violently ambient songs that had a definite shape and progression, but enveloped the audience in warm, immersive soundscapes.
In October 2007, the band was put on hold indefinitely due to Kris Angylus' severe hand injury. Half a year later, on the 26th of April 2008, he fell victim to clinical depression and took his own life.
In April 1, 2023, sole surviving member Monica Henson passed away.

3:28 ? "Enter love, you play with a gun, inside of me..." or "Into love, you play with a gun, and fire at me."
I swear, that's what I hear (for context, I'm listening with in-ear AirPod Pros, full volume). I've noticed a massive drop in discernibility/intelligibility of K's voice and words when using over-ear headphones.
Anyhow, I'm confident of three words; "play", "gun", and "inside" - Note: the "g" sound in English is very distinct. Whether "gun" or not(maybe "gone"), there is a word with a "g" and an "uh/ah" immediately after.
Well.. I've listened to this song over 900 times, but can't get any deeper in than that. Absolutely impenetrable. But thanks so much to Madness Embodied for showing us the second half's lyrics.
If anyone can add anything as far as the lyrics to this song goes... maybe someone with audio processing skills, voice isolation software, don't know... let us know what you find.
As for me, I'm considering paying someone to try to isolate K's voice, to dig up these lyrics, but the distortion and the overwhelming mixture of sounds might make that impossible.
If I find any more contenders for possible lyrics I'll share here. I want to hear what others think he might be saying, even if you're not confident that you're right (I'm definitely not confident in having the correct lyrics).

So, I was in a kind of sleep-deprived dream-state when (I think) I heard that lyric.
I had been listening to this song, Dying In A-Minor, on loop for about the third day. I was laying there just waking up when my Bluetooth connection glitched and the audio sounded tinselly and sharp, but just then I noticed (I think) that I was finally hearing something approximating words; "enter love, you('ll) play with a gun, inside of me".
Anyhow, I went and woke up a little more, came back refreshed, and listened, and sure enough, it seemed to fit even when I was fully awake and alert. That one or the other variation of it, the "fire at me" one.
I wish someone would tell me if they hear that as well, or something else, to start establishing some sort of evidence of/against wishful thinking/confirmation bias on my part.
Thanks.

In the end he says:
"We all try,
We all choose someone,
We all trust someone,
Blessed be our chosen one."
- Been listening to this album countless times trying to audibly obtain the lyrics from the tracks since they were never officially released. Read an article from his wife that he didn't release the lyrics as they "wouldn't make much sense" but were apparently taken from poems of his.
@machineelfguy
Thanks for this.
@yoshiyoshi901
I was sure I heard "try so hard, try so hard" and "sense of me" somewhere, like in Burning in the Undertow of God, where he says that. I have been so pained about not knowing the lyrics.
@st6ph6n28
I believe you, but I also REALLY want to know the source for these lyrics, please. I think it would help me.
@yelkhan2002
@@st6ph6n28 Kris consistently insisted that the songs had no lyrics and he just sang whatever he felt like. I suppose it's just guessing. I also sometimes listen to this album and manage to pick up on a lyric or two

Monica is no longer with us.
She passed away in April 1 this year.
May their legacy carry on.

R.I.P MDragynfly. A very tragic story for such a powerful band, makes this music just more emotional

3:30: Months with this song, this is the best I can guess at, and I've studied linguistics in college, so I am really trying here;
"Enter love, you'll play with a gun, inside of me, (ind.), point at at me, and I'll try, to play with a gun, point at me, and I'll try, point at me and I'll try, to play with a gun, (ind.), inside of me, point at me, and I'll try, (ind.) (ind.)."
Possible that "Point at me" is sometimes, or always, "Part of me."
Also, as in other songs, mostly in Solipsistic, his pronunciation of "to" is often closer to a rural South (as in, Georgia, where he was from) pronunciation of "tuh".
@madnessembodied2473
Thought I was hearing "But I began to, play with a gun." in there. Based on his pronunciation he could also be saying "But I began to play with God" denoting some ethereal experience. Could be possible though, considering there's another track "Burning in the Undertow of God" on this album, the only song to have it's lyrics released.

Jesus Christ, this is deep...
