That was followed by a 1967 single released under the name of Steve Walker & The Bold, Dynovoice 232[/blue] Train Kept A Rollin' / Found What I Was Looking For.
They were the house band at the Playboy Club in NYC in 1968 where they played 7 nights a week (and jam sessions on Sunday afternoon to boot!) for a full year. It is during this time that guitarist Bob La Palm is said to have met and taught Joe Walsh (then of The James Gang) his techniques for using the echoplex effect on guitar (as is so elegantly exemplified on track "Free Fugue", from the ABC album). It's also around this time that as the band was moving with the times to a more psychedelic style, they dropped the "the" from their "the Bold" billing. It is interesting to also note, perhaps uncoincidentally, that producer Bill Szymczyk (who later went on to produce Joe Walsh's other band, The Eagles) took an interest in Bold during this time period and went on to produce their only full length LP, self-titled "Bold", on ABC records, (ABCS-705)
After Bold broke up, Bob La Palm then joined Connecticut's premier band, The Wildweeds (featuring Al Anderson of NRBQ fame) for a short time towards the end of that band's career, and he is known to have played on at least one recording session with them, as well as numerous gigs.
Then Bob La Palm and Timothy Griffin, went on to found a band called Clean Living with Norman Schell.
Tim Griffin also played drums in James Taylor's road band very briefly. Steve Walker moved to Lake Tahoe where he played bass in a band called Amazing Grace after which he formed the Steve Walker Band and has played on the Tahoe Queen for last 26 years or so.
Now or Never
The Bold Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The pressure can be too much
Times are changing once again
I feel the pressure of the world we're in
Now- the truth comes out
Work together this I have to shout
Now- the time has come
People change everyday
Some walk their own way
But when these changes come to bring us down
We have got to stick together, stand our ground
Now- the truth comes out
Work together this I have to shout
Now- the time has come
Work together we can work as one
The time is now or never
We've got to stick together
We each try our best, to fight our own fight
Everyone's got their own way, no wrong or right
But when these changes brings us down
We have to stick together and stand our ground
The Bold's song "Now Or Never" is about the challenges and pressures that come with change. The lyrics suggest that when times are tough and people are changing, it is important to work together and support each other. The pressure of the world we're in can be overwhelming, but we have to persevere and not let it bring us down.
The chorus emphasizes the urgency of the situation, stating that "the time is now or never" to stick together and fight for what we believe in. People have different ways of dealing with change, but it is crucial to stand our ground and work as a team. The song encourages listeners to look out for one another and support each other through difficult times.
The message of "Now or Never" is relevant in many aspects of life, from personal relationships to larger social issues. The lyrics suggest that we can be stronger together than we are alone, and that we should not let change divide us. The song carries a positive and uplifting message, urging listeners to come together and overcome adversity.

🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 Taylor darling I love you dearly, but I think the writing is on the wall.
Ridge is pulling away from Taylor, and Taylor is pushing toward a relationship.
The push and pull physics forces are used by the Writers to show the different internal state of both characters.
Ridge is pulling back his deposit in the dream of him and her, and this is realistic and understandable.
Taylor is pushing new deposits into Ridge's mind to cement, create and continue her dream of her and him, and this is unrealistic (though feasable) and far fetched given the additional data regarding the bigamist marriage.
In the current dynamics of Ridge, Omar, Brooke, Taylor - Taylor's expectations are steeped and hinged on a memory (of reciprocal love). Omar and Brooke hold on to their fantasy wedding partners. Ridge has two wives.
If Ridge divorces Taylor and stays with Brooke- Taylor's dreams die while Brooke's dreams are realized.
Ridge married Brooke - thinking Taylor was dead - and Brooke did the same. This is quite normal.
Taylor married Omar knowing full well that she was a married woman - and Omar did the same.
If we look at the push and pull factor or forces - Taylor and Omar are partners in the crime of bigamy.
Choosing bigamy makes Taylor an irrational character laying herself on a cross of denial with no rational thought about the implications of her crime.
Amidst all the love, pain, sacrifices and traumas Taylor is most guilty since her YES to Omar's marriage proposal resulted in a crime. One cannot solve a problem, personal or otherwise by commiting a crime. While Omar provided the bait and manipulated her, Taylor emerges as a spider caught in her own web of denial and deceit.
Love you darling Taylor, but my analysis stands fair.
