As The Esquires, the group recorded a single in 1965 on Salem SR-003 (Shake A Tail Feather / Down The Track). As The Bold, the group recorded and released a 1966 single, Cameo 430[/blue] (Gotta Get Some( A track that has featured on Pebbles,Garage Beat '66 and more comps)/ Robin Hood.
That was followed by a 1967 single released under the name of Steve Walker & The Bold, Dynovoice 232[/blue] Train Kept A Rollin' / Found What I Was Looking For.
They were the house band at the Playboy Club in NYC in 1968 where they played 7 nights a week (and jam sessions on Sunday afternoon to boot!) for a full year. It is during this time that guitarist Bob La Palm is said to have met and taught Joe Walsh (then of The James Gang) his techniques for using the echoplex effect on guitar (as is so elegantly exemplified on track "Free Fugue", from the ABC album). It's also around this time that as the band was moving with the times to a more psychedelic style, they dropped the "the" from their "the Bold" billing. It is interesting to also note, perhaps uncoincidentally, that producer Bill Szymczyk (who later went on to produce Joe Walsh's other band, The Eagles) took an interest in Bold during this time period and went on to produce their only full length LP, self-titled "Bold", on ABC records, (ABCS-705)
After Bold broke up, Bob La Palm then joined Connecticut's premier band, The Wildweeds (featuring Al Anderson of NRBQ fame) for a short time towards the end of that band's career, and he is known to have played on at least one recording session with them, as well as numerous gigs.
Then Bob La Palm and Timothy Griffin, went on to found a band called Clean Living with Norman Schell.
Tim Griffin also played drums in James Taylor's road band very briefly. Steve Walker moved to Lake Tahoe where he played bass in a band called Amazing Grace after which he formed the Steve Walker Band and has played on the Tahoe Queen for last 26 years or so.

I had a hard day at work yesterday so I fell asleep after few minutes. I am so pleased this morning to read Fans, David and listening Casey, Thorsten and of course Rebecca. Rebecca is the Story arc of the Fridays BB Live Chat. Happy Halloween from France. Xx

Hi All, I got the feeling Casey was a tad nervous around Thorsten, maybe I’m wrong. It felt to me that Thorsten was checking a box appearing here and his short window of availability felt like we were imposing on him. I did learn he is struggling with the balancing of two coasts into every week and granted, that can’t be easy. But I’m sure he is well compensated and he knew this when he accepted the job. I’m not saying I don’t like him, he is infinitely more talented than his Ridge predecessor.
For the first time in the many weeks I’ve been tuning in to Bold Live I tried to call in, waited for 28 minutes until it was closed down early (bc of Thorsten’s exit) but what I would have asked him is far from storyline-related (writers own those, people!) or fangirl. It was to ask him whether his always standing arm-in-arm with Kelly in every scene they’re in together is an actor’s choice or are they directed to stand like teenagers on one spot on the floor? It’s on my most annoying list lol.🤷♀️
Casey: Here’s hoping they offer you some technical assistance for season 2! 🥂🥳

He is talented. To be honest i like him as Ridge The other one i didn't find believable. This version ? If his father Massimo walked into the room , id believe this version. They look alike and sound similar. I liked him eating tapanade with brooke. His technique is very free flowing . I loved the ad he did before his visit to Australia. He's natural and dropped a funny aside and i went hes natural . I'm dressing, for Halloween , wearing 3 costumes. Handmaid, princess Diana and snow white. Made and designed by me. Oh dear. We have the merry go round if hope and Liam and steffi..I guess you can't beat the Brooke and Taylor ride. It's more epic than the twilight saga and 3 times immortal.

OMG Casey I love you. When you corrected Matt with the fact Steffy did NOT hit Aly with the tire iron. I have been arguing this fanfic for years. Steffy swung it to get Aly to back off and the sound viewers heard was Aly falling against the car before falling to the ground. And how, my hilarious Casey, did you forget the beautiful storyline between Ridge and Caroline II in your list of Ridges love interests?
boldandbeautiful
Hi Kim! Oh my, how could I forget Caroline!? Oops. Thank you.

Candace, you are so loud I had to turn down the volume on my phone
