They made a name for themselves by consistently touring over the United States. Rather than signing with a known label, they initially decided to found their own, Chunksaah Records (named after their long-time friend Timmy Chunks), but are now releasing their albums on Epitaph Records.
The Bouncing Souls are one of the best selling and longest lived of the punk bands from New Jersey, following the legacy of previously successful punk bands Adrenalin OD and the Misfits.

Yep, but she's not one of ours. [1]
She's cool. He's hot.
She's from the valley. He's not.
Mess with the bull, you get the horns. [2]
Where's my two dollars? Where's my two dollars?! [3]

All I care about, is me, my drums, and you. [4]
You're forgetting one thing.. Rambo. [5]
I got a question. If you guys know so much about women,
how come you're here at like the Gas 'n' Sip on a Saturday
night completely alone drinking beers with no women
anywhere?
By choice! Yeah i choose this..Yeah, choose to refuse, boys.. [6]

2. Breakfast Club
3. Better Off Dead
4. Some Kind of Wonderful
5. Rambo

The song "These Are the Quotes from Our Favorite 80's Movies" by The Bouncing Souls is a homage to the iconic quotes from classic 80's movies. The lyrics are a collection of memorable lines from movies such as "Valley Girl", "The Breakfast Club", "Better Off Dead", "Some Kind of Wonderful", "Rambo", and "Say Anything". The song celebrates the nostalgia and fun of these movies and their cult following.
The opening lines mention Julie, a character who is described as "truly dazzling," but is not one of "ours." This reference likely refers to the idea of cliques or groups in high school or social settings. The following lines discuss the differences between two cool characters, one from the valley and one not. "Mess with the bull, you get the horns" is a reference to an iconic scene in "The Breakfast Club" where Principal Vernon warns Bender not to mess with him. "Where's my two dollars?" is a quote from the movie "Better Off Dead" which has now become a popular meme on the internet.
The lyrics also reference the characters' love interests in the films with "All I care about is me, my drums, and you" from "Some Kind of Wonderful" and the mention of Rambo in "The Breakfast Club". The chorus repeats the theme of the song - that these are quotes from the band's favorite 80's movies. The final section of the song references a scene from "Say Anything" where the male characters refuse to go out and instead choose to drink beer alone.
Overall, the song is an ode to the nostalgia and cultural significance of 80's movies and their memorable lines.
