Yet for some reason The Boys occupy a neglected position in relation to London's early Punk scene, probably because they weren't clothed by Sex or managed by Malcolm McLaren. Being tagged the "Punk Beatles" couldn't have helped either, and by '81 they called it quits.
Plagued by mishaps, bad timing and plain bad luck they managed to keep smiling and come up with corking, hyper-speed pop classics like "Brickfield Nights" and "Rue Morgue". In short The Boys were a gem of a band and a total inspiration to any Punk band who value tunes over noise.

Heartbroke and sorry
It couldn’t happen to me
How ‘bout a smile honey
How ‘bout a kiss
How ‘bout a tumble with me
Cos all the girls in the neighbourhood
Wake up little Susie
Stop pickin’ your nose
Wake up little Susie
Cut out your high-heeled pose
Cos all the girls in the neighbourhood
All wanna tumble with me
Come on now tumble with me
Tumble with me girl
I’m gonna get you girl, just wait and see
I’ll win eventually
How ‘bout a smile honey
How ‘bout a kiss
How ‘bout a tumble with me
The Boys' song Tumble With Me is a playful and upbeat track that showcases the singer’s confidence and charm. In the first verse, he tells a potential love interest that she has nothing to worry about because he is not heartbroken or sorry. He then proceeds to try and win her over with a smile, a kiss, and the invitation to "tumble with me." The chorus continues to reinforce his appeal, as he claims that all the girls in the neighbourhood want to "tumble with me."
The second verse takes a more confrontational tone, as the singer addresses a different girl by the name of Susie. He tells her to stop picking her nose and to cut out her high-heeled pose. The chorus repeats the same message, that all the girls in the neighbourhood want to "tumble with me," before ending with another invitation to "tumble with me girl."
Overall, the lyrics of Tumble With Me are light-hearted and playful, with the singer exuding confidence and charm throughout. The repeated invitation to "tumble with me" reinforces the notion that he is a desirable and sought-after partner, while the references to Susie and the neighbourhood suggest a broader context of social dynamics and competition.

Absolutely timeless. Top notch, up there with The Stranglers for that era. Generation X were amazing too.
