At the end of the last century The Crash got their first album out: "Comfort Deluxe". The most well known was probably "Sugared" with a stylish music video that actually won some awards in Finland (Gayest Video in Finland Award by Vinoraati). The band toured internationally as well, and word spread around. In 2002 the second album "Wildlife" came out, "Lauren caught my eye" could be heard all over Europe. Their third album "Melodrama" with very strong 1980's influence was once again a success, not to mention the music videos they shoot (for example for the hit single "Still Alive").
In September 2006 the band released their fourth album "Pony Ride".
In March 2009 the band informed that they're quitting.

I'm slippin' now
I'm flippin'out for real
So come on and take my hand
Oh grab my ass and smile
We'll make it together baby
You and me
Because me and you
Yeah, we are voodoo
Heartbeat in stereo. Stereo!
Oh, we're serial. Serial!
O-o-o-oh!
You and me
I was the wild boy
You were the furious. Furious!
We: a miracle. Miracle!
O-o-o-oh!
Baby, I miss you so
When I'm away from you
But hang on
We're feeling strong
We'll beat this world big time
We're gonna make it
Because me and you
Yeah, we are voodoo
Heartbeat in stereo. Stereo!
Oh, we're serial. Serial!
O-o-o-oh!
You and me
I was the wild boy
You were the furious. Furious!
We: a miracle. Miracle!
O-o-o-oh!
(Come on! Hey!)
Me and you
Yeah, we are voodoo
Heartbeat in stereo. Stereo!
Oh, we're serial. Serial!
O-o-o-oh!
You and me
I was the wild boy
You were the furious. Furious!
We: a miracle. Miracle!
O-o-o-oh!
(That's right! We're a miracle!)
We're holding on
We'll make it there someday
Someday, someday
'Cause we're still alive
The song "Still Alive" by the Swedish pop rock band The Crash can be interpreted in many ways. At first listen, the lyrics sound like playful and nonsensical words, but a closer listen reveals a story of two people in love facing tough times.
The opening lines "Hold on, I'm slippin' now, I'm flippin' out for real" suggest emotional instability, and the line "Grab my ass and smile" could be interpreted as the person reaching out feeling vulnerable and needing reassurance. Despite the tough times, they pledge to make it together, with lines like "We'll beat this world big time" and "We're feeling strong."
The chorus "Me and you, yeah, we are voodoo, heartbeat in stereo. Stereo! Oh, we're serial. Serial!" can be interpreted as them being inseparable and having a deep connection like a love spell or ritual that is serial. The rhythmic and repetitive nature of the lyrics creates an upbeat and catchy feel that masks the somber undertones of the lyrics.
Overall, "Still Alive" is a song about two people in love facing difficult circumstances but remaining optimistic and committed to each other's well-being.

This song came out at the end of the summer when I went to Finland as an exchange student. I didn't have any of my music with me and just relied on the radio. First time living abroad, and this is the tune to brings back those great memories
