At the end of the last century The Crash got their first album out: "Comfort Deluxe". Their third album "Melodrama" with very strong 1980's influence was once again a success, not to mention the music videos they shoot (for example for the hit single "Still Alive").

The Crash Lyrics

I'm heading for the top
The topless dream awaits there
Think I should pick it up
But I'm dying for some trouble
Yeah I'm dying for some trouble
Double trouble, triple double, gimme trouble
Oh, double trouble, see I'm dying for some trouble
Well my time is coming up soon
Think I should make it rock
It's never been so perfect
Still I want to fuck it up
'Cause I'm dying for some trouble
Yeah I'm dying for some trouble
Double trouble, triple double, gimme trouble
Oh, double trouble, see I'm dying for some trouble
'Cause it's hard to know what's up. What's up, what's up..
In the song "Trouble" by The Crash, the singer portrays a feeling of unease with success and a desire for chaos. The lyrics suggest that the singer's dreams are coming true and they are heading for the top, but there is a sense of ambivalence. The line "The topless dream awaits there, think I should pick it up" implies that success is within reach but also implies a lack of direction. The singer is not sure if they should take the opportunity or not.
The chorus repeats the line "Yeah I'm dying for some trouble" which conveys the singer's desire for chaos and challenge. The repetition of the phrase paired with the increasing intensity of the lyrics ("double trouble, triple double, gimme trouble") also suggests a sense of urgency and desperation.
Towards the end of the song, the singer acknowledges that everything seems perfect and ideal, yet they still want to "fuck it up." This line signifies that the singer is uncomfortable with their success and wants to sabotage it. The final line, "Cause it's hard to know what's up. What's up, what's up.." further conveys uncertainty and confusion.
Overall, "Trouble" is a song that explores the complex emotions that come with success and the desire for chaos.
