One of the defining elements of the Diplomats' music is the innovative slang they have incorporated into their lyrics. The broader hip-hop community has accepted and utilized many of their terms, including "doggie,", "no homo", "piff," "huff," "u mad?", "move the movement", "off' wit' Ya' Kufi Smacker", "goonies goo goo,", "duck tales", "family matters", and "coochie rap". They also coined the greeting, "What's Really Good?". Many of the rappers were signed, and were premiered in mixtapes, but the Diplomats did not become exclusive until 2003 with their cd Diplomatic Immunity. In previous music videos when Cam'ron was starting his career you could see fellow diplomats like Jim Jones or Freeky Zeeky. The Diplomats have also gained notable street credability through their mixtapes, especially in New York, and have made a small fortune through mixtape sales. The lyrics suggest that someone has been killed and now Freekey Zeekey wants revenge. In the first verse, Cam'ron talks about why he shouldn't entertain lies in the game and how he is willing to die for his chain. He also talks about how Dip Gang still rides with the chain and how they know who it was that killed someone. In the chorus, Zeek wants revenge and sings that someone has to die tonight. The second verse continues the violent theme, featuring lyrics about hustling, snitching, and killing his enemies.
The song is a classic example of gangsta rap and contains themes that are often associated with rap music from the 90s and early 2000s. The lyrics suggest that violence is necessary in order to maintain respect and protect one's reputation. Overall, the song is a commentary on the violent and dangerous world of street life, where anything can happen and anyone can be killed.
