Stylisticly, The Feeling have a debt of gratitude to the 70s, particularly bands such as 10cc, Supertramp, Pilot, Buggles, Queen, Stackridge, and other "progressive pop" acts. They are not averse to wearing their heart on their sleeve at gigs, playing covers of tunes by their favourite artists (such as 'Video Killed The Radio Star' by Buggles).
The Feeling have also followed the 'progressive' tradition of the concept album, with Twelve Stops and Home being a concept album about lost and unrequited love. The album starts with a relationship having just broken up, then follows through with the various emotions of the protagonist from hopeless dreamer to turning to drink for comfort, and finally slumping home.

If you know whatβ²s good for you, you'll stay
What did I do to make you treat me this way?
If you know what's good for you, youβ²d stay
Iβ²m telling you now you're gonna break my heart
Leaving me here like an old spare part
Iβ²m in trouble
β²Cause together we were made
Like thunder and rain
Like the passion and the pain
It's a thing thatβ²s heaven made
Undeniable
Do you remember we went to Heaven?
Under the arches
Open from 11
And we were dancing
And we belonged there
Four in the morning
Meet me in Trafalgar Square
We can get the night bus there
And blow a kiss to Nelson
But time was mean to us
And things have fallen through the gaps in between us
'Cause together we were made
Like thunder and rain
Like the passion and the pain
Doesn't matter what you say
Itβ²s undeniable

Undeniable by The Feeling is a melancholic song about a broken relationship that the singer wants to mend. The lyrics suggest that if the other person knows what's good for them, they will stay with the singer despite whatever mistake they might have made. The singer implores the other person to return to the relationship, stating that leaving would break their heart. The lyrics hint that the two people in the relationship are meant to be together, that they were made for each other like thunder and rain, passion and pain.
The lyrics go on to reminisce about the good times shared between the couple. The singer takes their lover down memory lane, remembering a time when they went to Heaven, danced, and belonged together. They suggest that they meet again in Trafalgar Square at 4 am, blow a kiss to Nelson, and take the night bus. However, the lyrics also mention that time has been unkind to them, and things have fallen through the gaps between them. Despite all of this, the singer believes that they're undeniable, that they were meant to be together, and that it doesn't matter what the other person says; they're undeniable.
