I can't play this song or sing the words without emotionally welling up.
First time I heard it I felt an immense surge of pride and emotion.
A few months back I was seriously thinking of moving to Devon, then this song ,this marvelous song that encapsulates for me everything that Cornwall and Cornishness is changed that.
I realised that as I sat there listening choking back unexplainable tears that Cornwall is my home and I am forever a part of it.
The wonderful friendly people, their hardworking roll the sleeves up and make the best of things.
The beautiful landscape that we must fight to protect from over development of luxury millionaire pads and holiday homes

For those of blessed to call this our home we really do have such strong ties to this land and it's people.
I think for me, I know I'm part Irish and proud, part Welsh and proud. I'm fiercely proud of my Celtic roots and have considered myself more Celt than British for decades.

That doesn't mean I'm narrow in my views. I'm proud that we live in the most culturally diverse countries in the world, but there's a magic about being part Celt that only people of Celtic origin can understand and explain and of course Cornwall is Celtic and the legendary land of Camelot it is said was in Cornwall.
I wasn't born in Cornwall but it's my adopted home and I will pass from this world to the next in Cornwall.
I could never leave.

I'm amazed how that song stirred such deep deep emotions.
We are all one and all.

I would dearly love to see a move to have this song adopted as our national anthem.
We are a nation apart but also a part of a bigger nation. But, our language is alive and growing and we prize our achievements and cultural identity.
I am very proud to be an ambassador for Cornwall

I've stood on Cape Cornwall in the sun's evening glow
On Chywoone Hill at Newlyn to watch the fishing fleets go
Watched the sheave wheels at Geevor as they spun around
And heard the men singing as they go underground

And no one will ever move me from this land
Until the Lord calls me to sit at His hand
For this is my Eden, and I'm not alone
For this is my Cornwall and this is my home

I've left childish footsteps in the soft Sennen sand
I've chased the maids there, all giggly and tanned
I've stood on the cliff top in a westerly blow
And heard the waves thunder on the rocks far below

And no one will ever move me from this land
Until the Lord calls me to sit at His hand
For this is my Eden, and I'm not alone
For this is my Cornwall and this is my home

First thing in the morning, on Chapel Carn Brea
To gaze at the Scillies in the blue far away
For this is my Cornwall, and I'll tell you why
Because I was born here and here I shall die

And no one will ever move me from this land
Until the Lord calls me to sit at His hand
For this is my Eden, and I'm not alone
For this is my Cornwall and this is my home

For this is my Cornwall and this is my home

As a Scot and from a fishing town it rings true with me but it also brings home how United these beautiful islands are. God bless the UK

@McConnachy

Saorsa gu A’chorn, A Chuimrigh agus Alba, greetings from Scotland, god bless the Celts. U.K., nae chance

@59jalex

Stonehenge and the area surrounding it are full of the bones of Scottish boar. Our people traversed this little island before it was divided into countries.
We are not so different.

@McConnachy

@@59jalex Stonehenge was put up by the Celts, when England wasn’t England but Celtic, then it became England when the Anglo Saxons and Danes moved in and moved the Celtic tribes north and west. So, we are as similar as the French are to the Germans! Tapadh leibh a charaid

@richardowen6105

“until the Lord calls me to sit at his hand” That’s one of the most beautifully heartfelt lyrics I’ve ever read or heard sung in my 53 years on this side of Heaven. I certainly didn’t expect to be moved to tears. Good ones. Your collective conviction of the loyalty to your homeland can be physically felt. Thank each of you for sharing your talents with us and may the Lord continue to bless y’all.

@TheoriginalSpaceboy

It's not their song, it was written by Harry Glasson about 25 Years ago, they just needed new material for the 2nd Movie

@LERS1968

@TheoriginalSpaceboy thanks but I’m aware they didn’t write it. Most professional singers don’t write their own songs or at least not all of them. It’s an incredible thing when a song and a singer or group can combine to make such a beautifully moving piece of music. I’m so sorry if you’re not hearing what a touching quality their version has. It’s so heartfelt.

@suejennings1475

That is irrelevant -this is a beautiful version of this evocative song. Have you en seen the FF2 film? This is perfect for an emotional and moving part of the film. It’s not a competition - just enjoy the stunning voices and the wonderful lyrics.

@ccchhhrrriiisss100

@TheoriginalSpaceboy - Yikes! The next thing you'll tell me is that Elvis Presley didn't write "AMAZING GRACE." Oh. Wait.
