Time Waits For No One
The Friends of Distinction Lyrics

Time waits for no one
And nobody gets away
There's no exception
We all got our dues to pay

And it's as sure as all the stars up above
If we don't hurry up we're gonna lose our love

Time waits for no one
And we're running out of time

Some people blow it
They wake up when it's too late
Don't say tomorrow
The clock on the won't wait

It won't slow down,
it just keeps movin' so fast
While you talk about the future,
it's becomin' the past

Time waits for no one
And we're running out of time

Running, running, running, running

So take me now and love me right on the spot
We gotta make the most of every minute we've got

Time waits for no one
And we're running out of time

Time waits for no one...

Mr. Charlie

Great, underrated song here. I can't believe nobody has said anything in the 2.5 years this video has been up. Great group, great individual singers, great harmonies...it's a pity they're mostly forgotten.

Mr. Charlie this group dominated my childhood. I bought every album they made. I would put my Koss headphones and listen to them all night.

Amazing bass line too!

Love the Friends. Was surprised to learn that Jessica Cleaves was an original member. Thought for many years that her sole musical contribution was with EW&F on Head To The Sky, '73.

FerdelJarman

I apologize for the typo Jessica Cleaves, my spell check kept changing the spelling.

Jessica Cleaved also sang with Parliament Funkadelic for a little while during the late 70s and early 80s, she had some unreleased songs produced by George Clinton that were released many years ago as well.

frankie hunter

Great group but they sounded too much like the Fifth Dimension. Their career was short but they sung some great songs.
