On June 2nd, 2010, The Front Bottoms released a 6-track album entitled "Slow Dance to Soft Rock".
On March 8th, 2011, the band announced they have completed work on their forthcoming new mini-album, "Grip 'N' Tie". This EP was cancelled upon signing to Bar/None Records and combined with "Slow Dance to Soft Rock" to make their self titled debut full-length album, which was released on September 6, 2011. Their second album "Talon of the Hawk" was released on May 21, 2013 and led to the addition of two new members, Tom Warren (bass), and Ciaran O’Donnel (keys, trumpet, guitar) to play alongside Brian Sella and Matt Uychich.

The Front Bottoms's song Taking My Uzi To the Gym is a melancholic yet fierce break-up song. The lyrics portray a relationship that seems to have run its course and ended on a bitter note. The singer is disillusioned with their partner, who is too eager to please and easily influenced by others. The singer, on the other hand, is unapologetically themselves and isn't willing to compromise their authenticity for anyone. The chorus "You and me, we could never take this approach. I think it's a licensing issue. chances are whatever lable this was released under hasn't signed off on it being on steaming services.. I suppose theres a small chance the band doesn't want it up there, but they don't really seem like the type to just bury their older music.

@Christopher Whitley This was self released. Its anyone's guess as to why they don't want them available easily. They seem to still like some of the songs off of these Albums.
