1. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979 in Compton, California, United States), better known by his stage name Game, formerly known as The Game, is an American Grammy Award winning gangsta rapper signed to Aftermath Entertainment through his own label Black Wall Street Records, with which he founded with his half brother Big Fase 100. He rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then he has released several other critically acclaimed albums, 2006's Doctor's Advocate and 2008's LAX. The RED Album was released August 23, 2011. All of his four albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 100, and he is widely considered to be a driving force in bringing back the West Coast hip hop scene and competing with many of his East Coast counterparts.
Studying various influential rap albums, Game developed a strategy to become a rapper himself and with help from Big Fase, they founded The Black Wall Street Records. The label originally featured such artists as Glasses Malone, Vita, and Nu Jerzey Devil, along with Game himself. His stage name was coined by his grandmother. Game first gained prominence when he attended a hip-hop summit hosted by Russell Simmons and Louis Farrakhan, releasing his first mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 1 in 2002, followed by a record deal with the independent label, Get Low Recordz owned by JT the Bigga Figga. Originally Sean Combs of Bad Boy Records was going to sign him to his label, but Game's mixtape found the attention of famed producer Dr. Dre, who signed him to Aftermath Entertainment in 2003. In October 2004, he released his first album Untold Story through Get Low Recordz, which sold over 82,000 copies within its first three months. The album featured artists like Sean T, Young Noble (of the Outlawz), and JT the Bigga Figga. Game also appeared on various mixtapes hosted by DJ's such as DJ Kayslay, DJ Whoo Kid, and DJ Clue. Game also released a second mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 2 through his own record label and appeared on the video game NBA Live 2004 on a song produced by Fredwreck called "Can't Stop Me". On January 24th, 2011, he released a mixtape entitled, "Purp & Patron."

Somebody running outside, yelling one-eight
Somebody running outside, yelling one-eight
Somebody running outside, yelling one-eight
Somebody running outside, yelling one-eight-seven
Aye where the party at?
When the drug dealers and the fiends outside all day
Uzis and grenades, we flocking handguns
If you want it, you can come and get some
If you got it, you can pay the ransom
Where the party at?
In the Bentley truck talking on my Nokia
I be selling out the Nokia
Got twins if you know Tia, then you know Kia
Balling bitches ride Benz's, nigga, no gears
On my way to the lip, bumping on a lid
With a bitch that look like Pia Mia, nigga you should see her
Head like Sia, diamonds in her ear
Sipping brandy, plus the money long like Nia
And I feel like that went over your head
And I don't think you understood what I said
See Brandy was Nia Long's name in "Boyz 'n the Hood"
Translation: dope boy in the hood
Get the packages out, the fiends is running the Rams is back
The Rams still go, the niggas getting jacked
The cops is circling, niggas is murdering
Dead bodies everywhere, that's just Compton nigga
Somebody running outside, yelling one-eight-seven
Aye, where the party at?
When the drug dealers and the fiends outside all day
Where the party at?
Uzis and grenades, we flocking handguns
If you want it, you can come and get some
If you got it, you can pay the ransom
Where the party at?
Riding with a G bitch, smoking on a G stick
In a G wagon, I'm always on some G shit
Used to be in G rides, bumping Warren G shit
Used to be in G fives, now I'm in the G six
Used to be in G-Rs, now I'm with some G-Stars
Couple G's in every pocket, sitting where the G's are
Used to be in U.G. Village with my G ma
Hand on the Jesus, RIP to my G-Pa
See life is up and down like a seesaw
And everybody working tryna get they RiRi off
You got pregnant teens and absent fathers
Outta town niggas they clapped regardless
It's a trap for the young
If you ever answer wrong when they ask where you from
And niggas gotta watch them colors
They say banging played 'til they get they bodies verified by their mothers
Somebody running outside, yelling one-eight-seven
Aye, where the party at?
When the drug dealers and the fiends outside all day
Where the party at?
Uzis and grenades, we flocking handguns
If you want it, you can come and get some
If you got it, you can pay the ransom
Where the party at?
The lyrics of The Game's song "Uzis and Grenades" reflect the gritty and dangerous reality of life in Compton, California, particularly in relation to violence, drugs, and party culture.
The repeated phrase "Somebody running outside, yelling one-eight-seven" references the California Penal Code 187, which signifies murder. This line suggests a sense of chaos and danger in the neighborhood, with someone shouting this code in response to a violent incident happening outside. It sets the tone for the rest of the song, highlighting the volatile environment of Compton.
The lyrics also touch on the allure of the party scene in Compton, acting as an escape for both drug dealers and addicts. The lines "Where the party at? Uzis and grenades, we flocking handguns" paint a picture of a party scene infused with elements of violence and weapons. The mention of uzis, grenades, and handguns suggests a hyper-masculine and dangerous atmosphere, where the party-goers may be involved in illegal activities and are willing to defend themselves.
The Game then goes on to share his personal experiences and observations. He mentions being in a Bentley truck, emphasizing his success as a drug dealer. He name-drops certain individuals like Tia and Kia, possibly referring to known figures in the drug dealing world. The lyrics also reference the song "My Neck, My Back" by Khia, with the line "Head like Sia," tying together sexual references and wealth.
The line "See Brandy was Nia Long's name in 'Boyz 'n the Hood'" delivers a deeper meaning about the cycles of violence and drug culture in the hood. It suggests that the lifestyle depicted in the movie, which was based in Compton, is still prevalent today. The mention of "the fiends running the Rams is back" alludes to the drug trade's influence on the neighborhood's sports team, while the line "The cops is circling, niggas is murdering" points out the constant presence of law enforcement in the face of escalating violence.
Overall, "Uzis and Grenades" paints a vivid picture of the dangerous reality of life in Compton. It depicts the allure of partying amid a backdrop of violence, drugs, and the constant threat of law enforcement. The lyrics reflect The Game's firsthand knowledge of the streets and his desire to present an unfiltered portrayal of the environment he grew up in.
