Danelle Leverett and Susie Brown met while at a songwriters' concert in Nashville, Tennessee. After being introduced to each other by songwriter Kris Bergsnes, they began writing songs together and later decided to form a duo, also by suggestion of Bergsnes. According to the Wildflower Songfacts, they chose to name themselves The JaneDear Girls because it was "feminine and all-American."
The duo signed with Reprise Records Nashville division. John Rich (of Big & Rich) signed on as their record producer, and began mentoring them as well. In mid-2010, Reprise released the duo's debut single, "Wildflower." The song was a Top 15 hit on the Hot Country Songs charts. The album's second single, "Shotgun Girl," was released to country radio on March 21, 2011, and debuted on the Hot Country Songs chart at number 55 and re-entered as a single at 58.
In early 2011, the duo received their first nominations at Academy of Country Music Awards including Top Vocal Duo and Top New Vocal Duo or Group. The awards were later awarded to Sugarland and The Band Perry, respectively.

I don't think so
Make your merry go round
It's about time that we got this party started
Here come the girls, roll out the red carpet
Once we get going ain't nothin' gonna stop it
Giddy up yeah, giddy up yeah
Hey, it's okay
We're gonna show 'em how to rock this place
So don't hesitate
You know that you want to
You know that you want to
Shake that wood make your backseat wiggle
Bend those curves to the groove of the fiddle
Slip your hips down to the ground
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Throw your hands up, make your headlights shimmy
Slide to the left, dip to the right with me
Come on girls you gotta scream it out loud
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Throw that hat, put your boots on the dance floor
I can shake mine, can you shake, shake, shake yours?
Get your crazy on, yeah this cowgirl style
It's gonna get wild, yeah it's gonna get wild
Hey, look that way
Can you see the look on their face?
Those boys can hardly wait
You know they want us to
Yeah they want us to
Shake that wood make your backseat wiggle
Bend those curves to the groove of the fiddle
Slip your hips down to the ground
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Throw your hands up, make your headlights shimmy
Slide to the left, dip to the right with me
Come on girls you gotta scream it out loud
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Whoa, make your merry go round
Bringin' the hoods straight into the woods
With a little bit of city and Johnny B. Goode
It's a hick hop so ya don't stop
'Til ya make it hot when the D.J. makes it drop
Shake that wood make your backseat wiggle
Bend those curves to the groove of the fiddle
Slip your hips down to the ground
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go
Throw your hands up, make your headlights shimmy
Slide to the left, dip to the right with me
Hear those cowboys scream it out loud
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Merry go round
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Merry go round
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Merry go round
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round
Make your merry go round yeah
