Worlds Of Possibility
The Pastels Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Truth shimmers like palaces in the sun
And your inventions will never be too far flung
Imagination's worthwhile taking
And gravitation, cause I don't want you to fall

I'll surprise you
Gliding through
I'll surprise you

Unbounded by languor or longitude
Everywhere is the center of someone's world
Panorama getting calmer
Senses warmer
I don't want us to fall

We'll be true

Never blue
We'll be true

I've been coming back to this even more often than usual, in this very messed up, reconfigured, increasingly unrecognizable world of 2020, for that same reason. Although it was a far from perfect time in itself (preparing to begin my Senior year, majoring in a demanding field of study, just as one of my parents was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin's Lymphoma), I would do nearly anything to go back to my Uni years of the early and mid '90s, when possibilities were still in abundance, and I was laying the foundations for a sustained appreciation for the number of bands I was exposed to at that time - including The Pastels.
