Players Association recordings brought in session musicians such as Larry Coryell, Joe Farrell, David Sanborn, James Mtume, Mike Mandel and others. Whilst writing some of their own songs, the group mainly focused on covers of soul, funk and disco tunes.
They became more disco-funk with jazz overtones, although the Association occasionally detoured into instrumental jazz-pop and quiet storm music.
Their two biggest hits were "Disco Inferno", a cover of The Trammps tune, and their own composition, "Turn The Music Up!"

One of the many sensual songs that the fantastic Isley's have written is made even more so by "The Players' Association". Bob Mover and Joe Farrell are just unbelievable on this track. Blowing ultra silky cords, they take this classic to another level of smooth passion filled groove. Mike Mandel's opening synthesizer brings to mind "Kool and the Gang's Summer Madness'". Will Boulware and Chris Hills or absolutely stunning on the clavinet ( what a beautiful instrument ). "For The Love Of You" is a very sexy and incredibly beautiful composition and the "Association" positively owns it with their spellbinding rendition. Your musical pallet is beyond human comprehension 75! Another brilliant upload. Big thumbs up lady.
