Face Me
The Plot in You Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Do you see the scales on me?
Feeble tongue, or hues of green?
I don't feel like catching prey
But I don't feel like anything

Sit in my head
Stray from the truth
Pick at the scabs, don't look at the past, got something to lose
But I feel the tension from every direction
It's my reflection, I correct 'em, don't even mention
You can't fix my soul, my crutch, my home
Feed it but it's best just left alone
My dear, my foe, my holy ghost
Never gave a damn 'til it's face was shown

Your face was shown (is it something you wanna do?)
(Is it something you wanna do?) Your face was shown
(Is it something you wanna do?)
(Is it something you wanna do?)

So just face me, I can make a change
So maybe just chase me, 'cause I can make a change

Do you see despair on me?
I've cut close ones carelessly
Some have passed and most don't change
But when I go I leave them peace
I don't wanna be the love you prevail from
I don't wanna be the waves in your sea
I was never pegged as one you'd depend on
But that changed when your face was shown

(Is it something you wanna do?)
(Is it something you wanna do?) Your face was shown
(Is it something you wanna do?)
(Is it something you wanna do?)

So just face me, I can make a change
So maybe just chase me, 'cause I can make a change

(My baby loves me, my baby loves me)
(My baby loves me, my baby loves)

Do you wanna feel what I felt?
I stayed awake for days in this hell
And what I paid for my sin would bring most men straight to their end

Straight to their end
'Til your face was shown

(Is it something you wanna do?)
(Is it something you wanna do?) Your face was shown
(Is it something you wanna do?)
(Is it something you wanna do?)

So just face me, I can make a change
So maybe just chase me, 'cause I can make a change

@alain butters anything before happiness and self destruction is more on the heavy side. That and anything past is like this.

Tough question

1.die like your brothers
2.too far gone
3. Sober and soulless
4. Rat poison
5. Nothing leaves this room.

Happiness in self destruction is my favorite album personally. The perfect mix of their old and what they have grown into.

Enjoy

Watching this band grow for the last 10 years or so including myself has been a pretty wild experience. Landon will always be my favorite artist ever. If this album is a swan song for the band, it’ll be bitter sweet. What a ride though man… the range is ever extending and hopefully we’re on the ground floor of something other than the end.

Every time they make an album, it has it's own unique sound. None of their work sounds the same, none of their work sounds like anyone else's work. They are so damn talented

Sounds a little bit like breaking Benjamins
