The Priestess's song Sideways Attack is a representation of a powerful and relentless spirit. The first two lines reveal the arrogance of those being addressed as they assume their skills alone can give them victory over The Priestess. She, however, is undeterred and provides a warning to these opponents, indicating that their lives are at stake. She then refers to herself as a demon who walks through fire, which suggests that she is no ordinary human and has transcended beyond what would be deemed possible under normal circumstances. Her belief was betrayed, which only amplifies her need for revenge as she describes longing for the day that she obtains it.
The chorus, "This disgrace is my cross to bear, it's the force that motivates me. Stand and fight me or step aside, you will die if you attack me," depicts the perspective of The Priestess, showing that the mistreatment or curse she has experienced is the driving force behind her actions, and she stands against any person or thing that attempts to thwart her. The verse that follows the chorus mentions that she walks through a river of blood that emanated from a battle fought in the north, leaving severed bodies in its wake. The Priestess relates what she has been through to a curse she has to bear, making her a monster in the sight of many, and she implies that she is not remorseful for her actions.
