Rooted in blues and early rock and roll, the Rolling Stones started out playing covers and were at the forefront of the British Invasion in 1964, becoming identified with the youthful and rebellious counterculture of the 1960s. They then found greater success with their own material, as "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" (1965), "Get Off of My Cloud" (1965), and "Paint It Black" (1966) became international number-one hits. Aftermath (1966) – their first entirely original album – is considered by The Daily Telegraph to be the most important of their formative records. In 1967, they had the double-sided hit "Ruby Tuesday"/"Let's Spend the Night Together" and experimented with psychedelic rock on Their Satanic Majesties Request. They returned to their rhythm and blues roots with hit songs such as "Jumpin' Jack Flash" (1968) and "Honky Tonk Women" (1969), and albums such as Beggars Banquet (1968), featuring "Sympathy for the Devil", and Let It Bleed (1969), featuring "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "Gimme Shelter". Let It Bleed was the first of five consecutive number-one albums in the UK.
Jones left the band shortly before his death in 1969, having been replaced by guitarist Mick Taylor. That year they were first introduced on stage as "The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World". Sticky Fingers (1971), which yielded "Brown Sugar" and included the first usage of their tongue and lips logo, was their first of eight consecutive number-one studio albums in the US. Exile on Main St. (1972), featuring "Tumbling Dice", and Goats Head Soup (1973), yielding the hit ballad "Angie", were also best sellers. Taylor was replaced by Ron Wood in 1974. The band continued to release successful albums, including their two largest sellers: Some Girls (1978), featuring "Miss You", and Tattoo You (1981), featuring "Start Me Up". Steel Wheels (1989) was widely considered a comeback album and was followed by Voodoo Lounge (1994), a worldwide number-one album. Both releases were promoted by large stadium and arena tours, as the Stones continued to be a huge concert attraction; by 2007 they had recorded the all-time highest-grossing concert tour three times, and as recently as 2021 they were the highest-earning live act of the year. From Wyman's departure in 1993 to Watts' death in 2021, the band continued as a four-piece core, with Darryl Jones playing bass on tour and on most studio recordings, while Steve Jordan became their touring drummer following Watts' death. Their 2016 album, Blue & Lonesome, became their twelfth UK number-one album.
The Rolling Stones' estimated record sales of 200 million make them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The band has won three Grammy Awards and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004. Billboard magazine and Rolling Stone have ranked the band as one of the greatest of all time.

She Was Hot
The Rolling Stones Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
TV is just a blank
Looks like another dead end Sunday
What about an early night
Monday never feels so bright
Ooh the sheets feel cold and lonely
For a glass of French champagne?
Well grab a cab, grab a cap and baby, come right by
And she was hot, as she kissed my mouth
She was hot, as I wiped her brow
She was hot, she pinned me to the ground
She was quick, she knew her way around
She was hot, as she tore my clothes
She was hot, she had no place to go
She was hot, on a cold and rainy night
Detroit was smoky grey
Nothing like the good old days
Well I got a fever that I'm fighting
I don't need your company
Leave me in my misery
I can take the rebound just like lightning
And she was hot, in a 50's dress
She was hot, her lips were flashing red
I was lost, in her burning flesh
I was hot, I was dripping sweat
She was hot, in the Detroit snow
She was hot, she had no place to go
She was hot, on a cold and rainy night
And she was hot, and I had the blues
She was hot, honey, where were you?
If you were in my shoes
You would be excused
She was hot, you could never wait
She was hot, never hesitate
She was hot, on a cold and rainy night
I think I'm going off the rails
Riding down the pleasure trails
I was taking passion where you find it
Honey when you're young and fresh
And you need the touch of flesh
Go take the treasure where you find it
And she was hot, in the melted snow
She was hot, in the molten glow
She was hot, she got it in the blood
She was hot, like the dam that bursts
She was strong, she was strong and true
She was black, and her eyes were blue
She was lost, and she took a chance
At just a brief romance
Down the avenue into the lost bayou
Into the tall bamboo, back to the human zoo
I wish you all the best, I hope we meet again
In a cold Chicago night
She was hot
She was hot
She was hot hot hot
She was hot hot hot
She was hot hot hot
She was hot hot hot
She was hot hot hot
She was hot hot hot
She was hot hot hot
She was hot hot hot
The Rolling Stones' "She Was Hot" is a song that captures the essence of youthful passion. The verses depict melancholic moments when the rain pours, the TV is blank, and the sheets feel cold and lonely. But the singer's life takes an exciting turn with the entry of a beautiful and irresistible woman. She is described as "hot" and "quick" and knows her way around as she tears off his clothes and pins him down. The song shifts in and out of different settings – from New York's cold and damp streets to Detroit's smoky grey streets – but the theme of youthful passion remains constant. The song's lyrics portray romantic obsession and the thrill of sudden attraction.
The chorus repeats the phrase "She was hot" four times, accompanied by the refrain, "On a cold and rainy night." The band's instrumentation is perfectly suited to the song's aesthetics. The guitars sound sharp and biting, while the drums create a frenzied, insistent rhythm.
"She Was Hot" was included on The Rolling Stones' 1983 album, "Undercover." The album was released during a tumultuous time for the Rolling Stones, with the band facing conflict within itself and with its record label. Despite these challenges, "Undercover" was a commercial success and topped the charts in the US and the UK.

Ella era negro - ella era fuerte y verdadero
Ella estaba caliente
Ella estaba caliente
Ella era mucho, mucho calor
Fue hot hot hot .........

Who could forger her in 'Ruthless People' (circa 1986). Coincidentally, Mick Jagger sang the main theme of the movie.

One of their best singles. Mick harmonising with himself is good, and the arrangement becomes more unpredictable as the song goes on.

It must been said that this song would have never been the same without these piano and organ accompaniments. This song is great. Long live RS.
