Their 60s hits included: "I'll Never Find Another You", "A World of Our Own" , "The Carnival is Over" (which the Seekers sung at various closing ceremonies in Australia, including Expo '88 and the Paralympics), "Someday One Day", "Walk With Me", "Morningtown Ride", and "When Will The Good Apples Fall". Their tune "Georgy Girl" in particular served as the title song of the film of the same name. These songs have had significant airplay on 'oldies' radio stations over the years.
Bruce Woodley and The Rain, The Park and Other Things's "I Am Australian", which has been recorded by The Seekers, and by singer Judith Durham with Russell Hitchcock and Mandauway Yunupingu, has become an unofficial Australian anthem.
Open Up Them Pearly Gates
The Seekers Lyrics

Come and take a few lessons from me
Get yourselves prepared for judgement day
Hallelujah lujah
When you hear the trumpet blast
Then you know you're home at last
Open up them pearly gates for me
Open up them pearly gates
Open up them pearly gates
Open up them pearly gates for me?
Hallelujah lujah!
When you hear the trumpet blast
Then you know you're home at last
Open up them pearly gates for me for me
All you gambling sinners
Now's time to start believing
You're gonna meet your maker some sweet day
Hallelujah lujah!
When you hear the trumpet clear
Gonna say goodbye to fear
Open up them pearly gates for me
Why don't you
Open up them pearly gates
Open up them pearly gates
Open up them pearly gates for me?
Hallelujah lujah!
When you hear the trumpet blast
Then you know you're home at last
Open up them pearly gates for me for me
The song "Open Up Them Pearly Gates" by The Seekers is a call to people to prepare for their impending judgment day. As the song opens up, the lyrics tell people to "come and take a few lessons" from the singer in order to get themselves ready. This call to action is backed by an enthusiastic "Hallelujah lujah," a common refrain throughout the song. The message of the song is that there will come a time when the trumpet will blast, and when that happens, people will know that they are "home at last." The song urges people to be ready for this moment, as it is a moment of finality.
As the song continues, the lyrics take on a more urgent tone. The singer addresses "all you gambling sinners" and tells them that "now's the time to start believing" because they too will eventually meet their maker. The song's message is clear: judgment day is coming, and people must be ready when it arrives. The final refrain is a heartfelt plea for the pearly gates to be opened for the singer when the time comes.

You did it again, Rich! Not surprised. It really makes a big difference if you're listening thru headphones that let the stereo come alive. I'll keep listening to my old CDs with this on them, but they can't compete with this enhanced version. Great job not only on the sound but the color enhancement as well. Thanks yet again for sharing your many talents with us!

Couldn't agree more. I have just been prescribed hearing aids due to severe tinnitus. The stereo quality coming through is more than impressive 👏 🙌 👌

She is so beautiful that one cannot decide whether to get stunned by her voice or by her simple presence on stage.

Totally agree, Judith was / is one of the most spectacular women in the world. Just stunningly beautiful! Then we have THE voice! After all these years I'm still besotted with her!

@Mark Hill There is a picture taken of Judith ( at that very evening I think since the dress is the same) seated holding the tambourine, with her hair over one shoulder, which is in my opinion the most beautiful picture ever taken of a young woman. The beauty and clarity of her smiling face are beyond description.
