[1] The O.C. Supertones (a.k.a. The Supertones) were a Christian ska band hailing from Orange County, California. The O.C. stands for Orange County and was formally used to differentiate them from another group, but they generally were referred to as The Supertones by fans and publicity, especially as of their second album. The band was formerly signed to Tooth & Nail Records before becoming an independent band for its final tour. Beginning with a more traditional ska sound, the Supertones moved next to a harder rock sound, which eventually changed again with more of a pop-rock influence.
The band began in the early 1990s as Saved. Originally formed by Matt Morginsky, Jason Carson and Tony Terusa while in Junior High School, the band played a mix of many styles including punk, rap, metal, disco, and funk. In 1995 they formed as The Orange County Supertones and settled on a ska based sound.
In the late 1990s The Supertones achieved wide popularity in the Christian and secular community. Their second album, 1997's release Supertones Strike Back, was a surprise smash hit, peaking on both Billboard's Heatseekers and Top Christian Albums charts at 3 and 2 respectively. Beginning with a more traditional ska sound, The Supertones moved next to a harder rock sound, which eventually changed again with more of a pop-rock influence. Their next two albums, 1999's Chase the Sun and 2000's Loud and Clear, each charted on the Billboard 200 chart. They continued to release albums until 2005, at which point they went on indefinite hiatus. This ended when they reunited for some shows in 2010. Since then they have had stints in 2012 and 2017, performing various reunion and anniversary shows. Their 2017 commemoration of the 20th anniversary of their most well-received album "Supertones Strike Back" was presented as a definitive "final show".
[2] The Supertones are an "instrumental surf" band from NYC active since 1988. They have released at least 12 albums.

Who am I that You would take the time to find me?
Who am I that You'd reach out your hand?
Lord what am I but just a sinful sinking man?
I didn't even know who God was, until He told me He's my Dad
And it's just because He loved me
And He'd rather die than live without me
Than go to Heaven without me
And I love Him and I'll stay with Him until the end of time
One thing I know-God gave His life for mine
He will always be, will always be
He will always be there!
Who am I that You would know my name?
Who am I that You'd help me win this losing game?
Who am I that You'd stay all day by my side?
God I fail but at least you know I tried
I didn't even know who He was,
Then God told me I'm His son!
I count on God, I love Him best
He helps me through my trials and tests
He'll always be there when I call
Always catch me when I fall
He will always be there!
The Supertones's song He Will Always Be There is an ode to the love and support that God provides to a sinful and imperfect human being. The song's lyrics begin with the singer questioning why God would pay attention to someone like them, stating that they are just a "sinful sinking man". The singer also admits to not even knowing who God was until he revealed himself as the singer's father.
The chorus of the song is a declaration of God's unconditional love for the singer. The lyrics state that God would rather die than live without the singer and that he would go through hell rather than go to heaven without them. The singer reciprocates this love, stating that they will stay with God until the end of time because they know God gave his life for theirs. The song's message is one of hope and comfort for anyone who feels lost, alone, and unworthy. It's a reminder that, despite our flaws, God will always be there to guide and support us.
Overall, He Will Always Be There is a powerful and uplifting song that encourages listeners to find strength and comfort in their faith. It's a reminder that, no matter how tough things may seem, God's love is unwavering and eternal.

These song have always been with me. Its some of the only christian inspired music that doesn't strike me as campy and kinda boring. They really nailed it.
