[1] The O.C. Supertones (a.k.a. The Supertones) were a Christian ska band hailing from Orange County, California. The O.C. stands for Orange County and was formally used to differentiate them from another group, but they generally were referred to as The Supertones by fans and publicity, especially as of their second album. The band was formerly signed to Tooth & Nail Records before becoming an independent band for its final tour. Beginning with a more traditional ska sound, the Supertones moved next to a harder rock sound, which eventually changed again with more of a pop-rock influence.
The band began in the early 1990s as Saved. Originally formed by Matt Morginsky, Jason Carson and Tony Terusa while in Junior High School, the band played a mix of many styles including punk, rap, metal, disco, and funk. In 1995 they formed as The Orange County Supertones and settled on a ska based sound.
In the late 1990s The Supertones achieved wide popularity in the Christian and secular community. Their second album, 1997's release Supertones Strike Back, was a surprise smash hit, peaking on both Billboard's Heatseekers and Top Christian Albums charts at 3 and 2 respectively. Beginning with a more traditional ska sound, The Supertones moved next to a harder rock sound, which eventually changed again with more of a pop-rock influence. Their next two albums, 1999's Chase the Sun and 2000's Loud and Clear, each charted on the Billboard 200 chart. They continued to release albums until 2005, at which point they went on indefinite hiatus. This ended when they reunited for some shows in 2010. Since then they have had stints in 2012 and 2017, performing various reunion and anniversary shows. Their 2017 commemoration of the 20th anniversary of their most well-received album "Supertones Strike Back" was presented as a definitive "final show".
[2] The Supertones are an "instrumental surf" band from NYC active since 1988. They have released at least 12 albums.

Our options have come down
to either we do or we die.
We need You now more than ever.
Pull out all of the strife in the church,
get us together.
Is time running out?
I can't say I do know.
than we did yesterday.
So it's up to us to unite,
You wanna fight the power?
You need the power to fight.
And can we sing with one voice,
if we all love the same God?
Can we agree to disagree?
And so we cry with one voice
to the only God in all the universe-
who holds us in His hands.
No more time
for us to bicker and complain,
If we're called by the same name,
there's nowhere for us to lay the blame,
except for ourselves.
And if we died to our old selves
we've come alive as God's flesh,
that makes us family.
Deeper than death,
but we don't act so tight
when there's a back to bite.
Are we less like a family, and
more like a fistfight?
Are we there, but not quite
are hypocrites children of light?
The Supertones' song "One Voice" speaks to the urgency of unity in the face of high stakes in 1999. The lyrics acknowledge the myriad of options available to us in any given situation, and highlight the importance of choosing to come together in order to survive in a world of strife. The song directs its call to God, acknowledging that it is only through His power that we can successfully fight against the challenges we face. The chorus of the song emphasizes the importance of love and agreement, asking if we can sing with one voice if we all love the same God and if we can agree to disagree.
The second verse of the song lays out more explicitly the need for unity, with a call for Christians to stop bickering and complaining with one another. The song admits that if we are truly all called by the same name and died to our old selves, then we must act as a family rather than constantly biting at one another's backs. The song questions the extent to which we are truly living as children of light or simply hypocrites.
Overall, "One Voice" speaks to the urgent need for unity and love among Christians, recognizing that we are all called to the same purpose and that it is only through our collective striving that we will be able to overcome the challenges of the world.

Still the one of, if not best, Christian band ever IMO. Driving guitars and drums, unique lyrics, blazing trumpets, and heartfelt worship!

I recorded this off of the radio in 1999 on to a cassette. It sounds better now and it is more meaningful. I'm not even going to question it...
