Overall Meaning

The Uncontrollable Few's song Security Breach is a catchy and upbeat tune that tells the story of two people who are trying to have a romantic rendezvous while dealing with the risk of being caught by their parents. To me, Security Beach feels like the Crash Twinsanity of the series. They are both very very buggy, have loads of unused content both try a new open world style, and both came out pretty half-baked due to pretty crappy circumstances while at least being pretty good games with devs who genuinely cared.

Both great games who tried to bend the formula of their pre-existing games, but sadly had so many cut content that took up so much time for the developers only to get scrapped due to rushed deadlines

That "Unknown Purpose" piece of music sounds fairly dark and mysterious. Would it possibly have been a piece to play when you're in the ruins of the Pizzeria? Or maybe when approaching The Blob who's awake and wants to communicate with you?

Vanessa has two ways of speaking in the unused voiced lines, Aggressive and determined or Soft and sort of motherly. I think the more aggressive lines are unused from the new story of the game and the softer lines are from the original game when Vanessa seemed to have a bigger role. I’m referring to the first trailers where Vanessa seemed to be interested in helping the player escape rather than capturing them

For the "afton family" bot lines, it actually does support the theory due to the mother not really showing up throughout the series, so this pretty much COULD confirm what happened to mrs. Afton.

I ponder if the removal of mentioning blood can probably be justified more from a lore perspective than a real-world age rating one? An animatronic designed to interact with children would likely be programmed to avoid mentioning violence or blood and use 'safer' words like "broken" "hurt".

She slashed his arm and Gregory sought shelter in Freddy- hence the scrapped lines about Gregory's arm being cut, Gregory saying Vanessa is going to kill him, and Vanny's promotional picture holding a knife

I'm interested in Vanessa's scrapped voice lines. She was clearly communicating with not only the animatronics, but was being ordered by Afton to try and catch Gregory at any cost. If we'd gotten a playable "villain side" to the story, that would've been too cool in my opinion.

The fact that the endo could crawl and run and everything is really interestingly terrifying. I don't know any other animatronics that really have multiple actions, like no matter what you do it has a maneuver to catch up to you.

The Vanessa we get in the final game is completely different from the Vanessa we heard in the trailers and cut voice clips. Those trailers made it sound like Vanessa was on our side and was really worried about us. The cut dialogue supports this Vanessa as most of the lines sounds like she's desperately trying to find us. She cares so much that you can actually hear her getting emotional.

But Vanessa, and I'm sorry to say this, is kind of a jerk in the final game. I don't think she ever said a nice thing to anyone in the final version and she is solely treated as an antagonist. It was really jarring after all the marketing of her being a good guy. The only remanent of the nice Vanessa can be found in the tapes, where Vanessa sounds way more vulnerable and kind. But that version on Vanessa no longer makes sense in the final game because we never see nice Vanessa. I'll bet those tapes would have jived much more with her personality if these cut lines were included.

And this just speaks to the larger problem of Vanessa not getting enough screentime in the game. For someone who is Vanny (we think) and was supposed to be a major character, we know next to nothing about her and she had a minimal impact on the game. And that has a major impact on the plot since she's, you know, sort of the main villain.

In the end, there is a lost relationship between her and Gregory and that affects the game's story and ending. Like I will not deny that the Best Ending is pretty emotional, but I guarantee that it would have meant so much more to the player if we actually got to know the person we were rescuing. Just another example of missed potential in this game, so what else is new?

it’s such a shame that there’s so much unused content that would’ve fit into this game so well, like all of the unused mini games, dialogue, extra rooms, even the extra staff bots would’ve been super cool to see. i hope they add an update with all of these features in the future, but it would also feel a bit weird to update the game with all these brand new features added when so many people have played the game already, but it would still be cool.

7:24 Hold on, these aren't unused. You can see them on advertisement boards in other parts of the complex. First one that comes to mind is the 3rd floor landing above the Monty Golf entrance that takes you to the dessert counter. The only one I have yet to find is the Roxy one, but I have for sure seen the other 3.

12:23 You can actually hear the Arcade theme in Fazcade, it's sort of mixed with another sound or music, probably from the arcades themselves.

About the staff bot family dialogue, it's eerily similar to how William Afton's wife left him after the Crying Child's incident, leaving him to "take care" of Michael. At some point William murdered his ex-wife, and stuffed her in Ballora (looking closely at the mother staff bot design she might be a throwback to Ballora's design). More proof as to why this is the Afton family: a Circus Baby designed staff bot (Baby aka Elizabeth Afton), another male bot (Michael) and one without its head (Crying Child, who got bit in the Bite of 83).

The unused Vanessa voicelines seems to indicate that she's talking to someone or something, a good reference to Glitchtrap, and the whole situation she got herself in since Help Wanted. It seems that Vanessa would start off as being kind to Gregory, but eventually evolves to wanting to literally catch the kid. There's this whole idea of making promises, similar to how she tells Glitchtrap she won't let him down in the Dreadbear DLC in HW. Perhaps by the very end she would be gone to the point that she just stays as Vanny and chases Gregory like that, perhaps signifying that Glitchtrap has had enough of Vanessa's incompetence, and would much rather prefer controlling Vanny and dealing with the kid directly.

The more I watch videos like these, the more I start to believe my theory about the game that was released being a alpha release or an extended demo version of the final game, and there's actually a copy of the game that is entirely different and that has all (or most) of the stuff that went unused and is still being worked on to fix the bugs, glitches, and to polish the game. Even the unused voice lines tell me that you were originally gonna be playing as glamrock freddy separately and Vanessa. Even I believe that they might release this "final version" of the game when they release the game on other consoles or maybe in the future

8:55 I'm assuming they used HAL's eye as a reference when texturing/ building the Pizzaplex animatronics. It's a good reference for how to create really creepy (and possibly glowing) eyes.

At 19:50 I feel like it they could've done it so it looks like vanessa was either "flipping" personalities where she'd help gregory and sometimes be an enemy OR maybe it could've been where she was trying to gain gregory's trust to easily backstab him

To me, Vanessa's cut voice lines imply that she would be roaming the place throughout the game, maybe even patrolling the pizzaplex with monty, roxy and chica from time to time. I actually really wish a drivable go kart gets implemented. The idea that you would break out the track and start running over the animatronics is too funny. There's so much stuff they had to cut from the game that I hope gets added in updates/dlc.

They had their chance to make a super cool game, a big interconnected pizza plex with lots of threats and interesting things to do but it seems like the went out of their way to make it worse and downgrade the game on PURPOSE. 16:15 HAHAHAH so this did end up being the game mode that made it to the final cut, but they left out the instructional dialogue. A lot of Let's Players get into Fazer Blast and have no idea what to do. The instructions were RIGHT THERE, but they just didn't get implemented!

To be fair, security breach IS only about a month and a half old, so it would be fine to assume and see so much unused content. The game is probably undergoing a HUGE update in development, so many things were probably NOT scrapped, but we’re still being worked on, like the bowling mini game. The game is very detailed, so the creator(s) probably needs tons of time to do stuff to it

Due to the amount of random unused maps/graphics I really believe that they never cleaned up any folders they were using to program/model the game. Because ngl when I make models my folders look insane and often have random files that aren’t used until I clean it up. Maybe I’m just overthinking it.
But it would make sense if the game was randomly changed before release. They might have not have had time to clean the folders up. Idk tho

I think what some people need to remember as well is that there are 2 DLCs supposed to be coming once SteelWool has fixed the bugs in the main game. Some of this "cut content" could be pre loaded stuff for them. Yes some of it is disappointing to see cut but some if not most could be huge spoilers for the DLC - like Vanessas lines. They are too important and suggest too much to the lore to just be cut, and why would you have lines and not at least a rudimentary animation seems a little weird.

I don't think the game was bad per say (just super glitchy, unclear, and incomplete) but it really grinds my gears that all this content was cut because that would have made it such a better game! Things would have been more fleshed out and complete and that would have resulting in more compelling gameplay and story!

The decrepit staff bot dialogue perfectly fits the Afton family! Thanks to the cd's around the pizzaplex, we know that William Afton's wife left him and that he manipulated Vanessa as a child to testify against his wife so Vanessa would be placed in his custody! What an incredible find!

Can't believe they not only replaced magician bot with another bot that from what i have seen doesn't do much, but also that staffbot originally had it's own unique look and they took that out too.

Actually it's crazy just how much was planned for this game that didn't get used, a lot of this stuff looks really neat and i think the game would have been better with it still in. this game was delayed for like three years or something and still ended up getting rushed.

In the games, we don’t know what happened to William’s wife, so it’s quite possible they separated and that’s why she’s not around anymore. What a unique find!

When it come to the "broken" line I've heard many people say that they changed the line for lore purposes, and not for the age rating as it can relate to the "You're Broken" line at the end of FNAF 4.

You really have to wonder what was the tipping point of development where they literally dropped everything and didn't bother removing or adding so many of these assets despite most looking finished. You know I heard an interesting theory that one of the reasons the story was overhauled from what was promised in the trailer was because they had to get rid of vanny's voice actress thus they cut all the voice lines she had and most likely scrapped most of her encounters. She was replaced with Gregory's voice actress to make up for recast and had her say just enough lines to justify her appearance in-game.

I think the Unknown track could have been used for monty golf, roxy raceway, or maybe during the sewer/furnace room parts of chica and roxy's fight respectively. alternatively I can also see it being used during a possible track for a potential unused vanny sequence (considering she shows up like 3 times in the entire game)

Like an area based around comedic security bots, and every now and then the speakers will play "The Magician Bot's show will now begin!" and then every five seconds for twenty seconds, a security bot will appear in a cloud of glittery smoke

I like the idea of when comedy bot is done doing jokes. Magician bot appears in the stage using a lift. Which because the theatre takes on the second floor and comedy bot exits and stays on a corner

The random picture from an unrelated game may be a bit of programmer expertise. Some programmers will code a part of game to where it’s tied to a specific image, to where if that image is deleted it will break the code. Sometimes it’s used for job security, so they can’t get rid of the programmer. One example of this is TF2.

13:02 it might’ve been for when your in the furnace area after taking Roxys eyes, possibly for the burntrap boss fight or might be for the scrapped room with all the big cylinders (dunno how to explain it, I think it was a room that was in a trailer but was scrapped in the game)

Those are the 3 things I could think it was used for, but I haven’t played the game, only watched general videos. But out of the options I listed I’d say it would almost definitely be for the burntrap area.

For the "afton family" bot lines, it actually does support the theory due to the mother not really showing up throughout the series, so this pretty much COULD confirm what happened to mrs. Afton.

If they had kept a few of these files in the game, I think it would have made the 80GB worth of game worth it some more. It's a shame too, since some of the music definitely would have been a nice touch. As well as the minigames.

Fun fact: Stashed among the Blob's animations is the tentacle from the end of the first Freddy and Friends video.

Fun fact 2: Vanessa has an unused stun animation, indicating that she could have been hit with the Fazer Blaster and Faz Cam. Likewise, Roxy has an unused set of animations for entering and leaving vents, indicating that she could have come in after Gregory.

God I wished the creators had more time, hope they'll update that game until the Final Version, y'know, like Subnautica.

I will say I do know why all these happen, and it's due to patience.. I get everyone was hype to see this come out but some were not willing to wait. To those who didn't want to wait they would rush the dev's to get the game done which would cause all of the things they promise to just be gone.. This is why I am hype for new games but I rather wait for a game to be 100% finish than rush the devs.

@Alice Jones in all honesty, from what i have seen (i have not personally played just seen playthroughs) and with these lost bit videos and other unused content things, it seems like there could have very well been tons of improvements to things like the endings, more coherent and reasonable map layouts, things that made the map feel like an actual facility, etc etc. its a shame to see a game with this level of potential end up being a buggy and potentially unfinished game

These variants make so much more sence given that if I would be such a company I would also like to have as much variaty as possible with the minimal effort and those models would have given that place a much more needed appeal since I don't think just all S.t.a.f.f. Bots looking the same would make it appealing to be there.

So I'm kind of a sidelines fan. I know some of the lore, and have watched play throughs of all the fnaf games since the first one came out. I know that this game was released early, leading to a lot of the issues with the game, and some of these content cuts. My question is, was this game rushed just to get it out to the public, or due to budget cuts? There's so much about this game that's unfinished. It's obviously full of bugs and holes, and we can see all of this unused material. So is it the way it is because they wanted to release it sooner, or were there other issues?

So sad seeing the cool stuff being unused, as much as I enjoy this game. I hope they add it to the DLC or to an update at least, I mean come on, wouldn't you want an alien staff bot!?! Or ride the kart and literally run over the animatronics?! What about playing as Vanessa? I seriously want those magician, mime, and comedian bots so bad.

I think the game was nice as is, it is a bit sad that so much was cut out though. I feel like the game was a bit rushed and wasn't as scary as it could have been but it seems to work out fine as is. Perhaps the game could continue to be worked on and given an update later on, maybe add a second night somehow.

20:13 it seems Vanessa is talking to herself. I mean talking to Vanny who’s controlled by glitchtrap. She also want to help Gregory. That’s why Gregory may not trust her. As a child who sees an adult having multiple faces. It makes more sense with those unused voice lines. Vanessa seems less aware of her second nature.

I feel like they should've had shattered animatronics help each other out, have deranged staff bots that will kill you, and darken the main areas for Moon and Vanny to be the main threats lurking around with a shattered here and there.

I love how Security Breach in the files casually mentions that "before Bears extinction" being that it has (most likely due to there being a 50 balloon in Monty golf) takes place 50 years in the future. Also that means that at the current time of me writing this in one year FNaF 3 will have taken place irl as FNaF 3 takes place in 2023 (I know FNaF isn't real bla bla bla don't have to tell me I'm a teen jeez)

The more I look into what flaws the game had, the more sour the game tastes in my mouth as part of the fnaf series. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the animatronics, and the new concepts introduced. But when I rewatched the trailers given to us before the release, I felt disappointed. When I heard other people's thoughts, I realized that the plot itself, the afton ending, is (to me) an awful plot bc Henry and Michael's heroic self-sacrifices ended up for naught bc they couldn't kill the main antagonist and start with a new one (and I mean kill as a character, not just a physical death). And then this video shows even more of what we missed out on. It's such a shame. With all these factors in my mind, and looking at it from a bigger lore, and game perspective, FNaF SB really dove trenches deep in quality compared to the rest of the series.

Ugh this is so frustrating to see! So many improvements and possibilities just never used. Even the cut voice lines provided so much more clarity to certain sections. Like the fazerblaster ones, in almost every playthrough I've seen it takes awhile for them to realize they need to return their blaster before they leave, those voice lines make it way easier to understand

11:10 i think chica ragdolling actually implies that originally you were supposed to play out the cutscene where you run over Roxy instead of it just being a cutscene. Perhaps at some point she would end up on the track and you'd run her over.

I dont know why they removed this, because it would easily explain from a story/lore perspective why 1. The animatronics don't just escape their rooms easily and can actually be somewhat contained 2. Freddy can't press any freakin buttons so you have to climb out to activate anything and put yourself in danger 3. Vanny is maybe somehow able to program the animatronics to not see her, though I have no idea how Roxys eyes fit into that

I love this game, but it really sucks that this much content was cut
I really wish they worked on it longer and maybe tried getting more help with the game (since Steel Wool is still a small group of developers)
