and this would later determine his choice of singing and writing in English.
Despite having no musical background in his family, Tiago started playing the acoustic guitar at age 8.
In 2007 his unpretentious acoustic single 'Nothing but a Song' drew attention to
his voice and led to the release of his debut album Let Yourself In, which gained notoriety after several of Tiago's songs were featured on major Brazilian primetime soap operas, TV ads and films. Tiago soon started touring across the country and in 2009 was Jason Mraz's Brazilian Tour opening act.
Let Yourself In was also released in Japan, where 'Nothing But a Song' peaked at number 11 on Billboard's Japan HOT 100 Chart, and in South Korea, where the public granted Tiago a Best Foreign Artist Award for his performance at the 2010 Grand Mint Festival. Another single — 'Fine' — featured on the popular South Korean TV series Personal Taste.
His second studio album Umbilical — which had New York-based Andy Chase as producer — was simultaneously released in Brazil, South Korea and Portugal on October 2011. Digital releases in the United States and Japan followed shortly after.
The Umbilical Tour had it's debut on March 14th at the 2012 South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, and included performances in Portugal and over 20 sold out dates in Brazil.

É manhã de Domingo à toa
Conversa rara e boa
Pedaço de sonho que faz meu querer acordar
Pra vida
Ai ai ai
Tu que tem esse abraço casa
Me leva contigo pra passear
Eu juro afeto e paz não vão te faltar
Ai ai ai
Ah, eu só quero o leve da vida pra te levar
E o tempo para, ah
É a sorte de levar a hora pra passear
Pra cá e pra lá, pra lá e pra cá
Quando aqui tu 'tá
Tu é trevo de quatro folhas
É manhã de Domingo à toa
Conversa rara e boa
Pedaço de sonho que faz meu querer acordar
Pra vida
Ai ai ai
Tu que tem esse abraço casa
Se decidir bater asa
Me leva contigo pra passear
Eu juro afeto e paz não vão te faltar
Ai ai ai
Ah, eu só quero o leve da vida pra te levar
E o tempo para, ah
É a sorte de levar a hora pra passear
Pra cá e pra lá, pra lá e pra cá
Quando aqui tu 'tá
Tu
Tu
Tu
Tu
Ah, eu só quero o leve da vida pra te levar
E o tempo para, ah
É a sorte de levar a hora pra passear
Pra cá e pra lá, pra lá e pra cá
Quando aqui tu 'tá
É trevo de quatro folhas
É trevo de quatro folhas, é
É trevo de quatro folhas
É trevo de quatro folhas, é
In Tiago Iorc's song "Trevo," he compares his love interest to a lucky clover, saying that she brings rare and good conversation and is like a piece of the dream that he wants to wake up for. The chorus repeats this imagery of the lucky clover, with Iorc singing that his love interest is like a four-leaf clover on a lazy Sunday morning. He asks her to take him with her if she decides to fly away, promising her affection and peace. He wants to live life lightly with her, and enjoy their time together.
The song has a light and dreamy feel to it, matching the lyrics about wanting to live life lightly with the lucky clover love interest. The use of the repetition of "tu" (you) throughout the song emphasizes the personal connection between Iorc and his love interest. The chorus, which repeats several times, has a soothing and calming effect, like a lullaby.
Overall, "Trevo" is a sweet and gentle love song that uses the imagery of a lucky clover to describe a rare and special connection between two people. The song's dreamy quality and repetitive chorus capture the feeling of being lost in love and wanting to live life fully with someone special.
