Hälsingland
Tomas Andersson Wij Lyrics

Woohoohoo (Repeat)
The song "Hälsingland" by Tomas Andersson Wij is an ode to his homeland, the region of Hälsingland in northern Sweden. The recurring "Woohoohoo" is a joyful celebratory expression of his love and connection to this place. He addresses his father's land and his mother's land, acknowledging the importance and depth of his roots in this area.
He takes his daughter's hand as he walks down a small path towards the lake, the fields around them glowing golden in the evening light. The mountains around him lift the weight from his shoulders, and he hears them respond to his song. He sings of the perpetual longing that he and others feel for this place, and the comfort that comes from the familiarity of the land and the traditions of the people.
The song is a beautiful tribute to the beauty, simplicity and magnificence of the place where he grew up, and the connections it created. It is a reminder that even after wandering far and wide, the pull of one's roots is always strong.

I can't understand the lyrics, because i don't speak the language, but something inside the music, captures the soul, and make smile, it's amazing.....The music doesn't have a language, it simply connects...and it's everything !

More positively, I love Tomas Andersson Wij's voice! The sound of Scandinavian languages is so relaxing but sometimes it's hard to find musicians that aren't death metal bands.I kind of got over that genre of music when I was 18 :D Thankfully, I found this guy! A warm g'day from a fan in South Australia :)
