Do I Worry?
Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra & Frank Sinatra Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

What'll I do?
When you are far away
And I am blue
What'll I do?

What'll I do?
When I am wondering who
Is kissing you
What'll I do?

What'll I do with just a photograph
To tell my troubles to?

When I'm alone
With only dreams of you
That won't come true
What'll I do?

What'll I do with just a photograph
To tell my troubles to?

When I'm alone
With only dreams of you

That won't come true
What'll I do?

I love The Ink Spots version, but my favorite has always been this one. Both Frank's solo vocal and Jo's limpid lead with the Pipers are fabulous. I like Buddy Rich's surprisingly discreet brushes behind the cup-muted Ziggy Elman-led instrumental passage.

Frank Sinatra voice was so smooth and great at this stage of his career.

I think he was better about 20 years later....
