In "Siren," Tori Amos sings about someone who is willingly being deceived by their own thoughts and feelings. The first verse describes how the person knows deep down that they will deceive themselves but that it will be in their own unique way. In the chorus, she sings of a Siren, who is known for luring sailors towards danger with her enchanting voice. The person in the song is likened to these sailors, vulnerable and lost.
The second verse speaks of the Siren's power and how she is both dangerous and alluring.
