Founded by Glover Gill in collaboration with The Tosca String Quartet, Chris Maresh and Justin Sherburn in 1997. The group performs original compositions in the nuevo tango style and has released six albums. Among these is the soundtrack to Richard Linklater’s Waking Life which led to the group's international following.

I'm 19 and own Waking Life. I've watched it several times and every time I learn something new or have a new idea about my existence and my own life. The sound track fits to a tee. I've recommend this film to multiple friends but no one seems to appreciate its ideas and information like I do (or even have the attention span to really listen to what is being said and get to the end) Its a shame I'd love to have deep conversations discussing this movie!!

same with the whole lucid dreaming thing. As for the animation people need to realize its art! I watched an extra about how they made the movie (filming the whole thing then going through and animating it). They mentioned that you can notice when a different artist starts a new part because the animations have their own style. The combination of the animation and the sound track work unbelievably well to capture the dreamy atmosphere.The producer and director definitely knew what they were doing

That is exactly the effect that they are going for. If you ever watch the movie, the first clip is the group rehearsing and the director/composer asks for it to seem "slightly" out of tune.

@riseNresist18 lol yeah... definitely not the kind of music most teens listen to. But then, Waking Life isn't the kind of movie most teens watch either... or most people, for that matter.. All the same, I love the movie and the soundtrack, even if it does make me seem like an old man.

What are you bickering about? If the waking life is watched and loved exclusively by teens then does that mean older people are extremely ignorant and have no conceptual sense of philosophy?

No it just means that teens have a much more in depth perception of pain and lack of love than adults do in general - or at least a more dramatic one :)
