Read Full Bio ↴Truckfighters is a stoner rock band from Örebro, Sweden, formed in 2001.
After releasing several demos in 2001 and 2002, they recorded a split-EP with local Swedish band Firestone in 2003. In 2005 they released their debut album Gravity X on both MeteorCity Records and Fuzzorama Records. Their follow-up album, Phi, was released in 2007 by Poison Tree Records in the U.S. and on the Fuzzorama label elsewhere. Their latest album, V, was released on September 30, 2016.
Their sound has been described as classic desert rock, similar to bands like Dozer, Fu Manchu (with whom they have toured), and Kyuss. They have been featured on the MTV Sweden show "Fuzz"
The film Truckfighters by Joerg Steineck and Christian Maciejewski portrays the band's life. It was released in December 2011 and features interviews with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. The film provides an ironic, entertaining view of the three "ordinary" guys who transform into Fuzz Monsters onstage.

It feels so fucking great.
The coolest pleasure is to ride in
my mustang, my mustang 68!
I'm running out of fuel.
I'm running out of gas.
And I'm on the top of the world.
Four liters of whisky makes us neat,
when doubles our crops of feat.
I'm running out of fuel,
Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah!
I'm running out of gas.
(x2)
I'm running out of fuel.
I'm running out of gas.
Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah!
I'm running out of fuel,
Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah!
I'm running out of gas.
I'm running, running out of fuel.
I'm running, running out of gas.
I'm running, running out of fuel.
I'm running, oh!
I'm running, running out fuel, yeah!
Oh, I'm running, running out of gas, yeah.
Oh, I'm running.
The song "Desert Cruiser" by Truckfighters describes the thrilling experience of driving through the desert in a Mustang '68. The singer portrays the rush of excitement as he feels "on top of the world," cruising in his car through the vast and open desert landscape. However, the song also touches upon the danger of running out of gas and being stranded in the middle of nowhere. As the singer realizes that he is "running out of fuel," the thrill gives way to a sense of urgency and concern.
The lyrics also mention the presence of a "babe in the backseat," which suggests that the cruising experience is not just about driving, but about the company and the adventure. The singer alludes to the consumption of four liters of whisky, which adds to the reckless abandon of the moment, but also adds a sense of risk and danger to the situation.
Overall, "Desert Cruiser" celebrates the freedom and thrill of driving through the desert, but it also reminds us of the importance of being prepared and responsible.
