The band had a recording contract with Spinefarm Records (specifically Ranka Recordings), and their second full-length album, Pirun nyrkki, was released on March 29, 2006. Shortly after a dispute over income developed between the band and Spinefarm, with the band filing a lawsuit against the label. During the ongoing case, a new album, U.S.C.H.!, was released for free download on 11 June 2008. A new single, Minä määrään ("I Rule"), was also released for free before the album, on May 21.
On March 9 the group posted a statement on their website, clarifying the arguments between the band and their former record company Spinefarm Records had been settled, but stated that the terms of the agreement meant they could not discuss the matter further. U.S.C.H.! was released physically on 20 May 2009 including 2 bonus tracks.
On December 07 2012, lead vocalist Turunen suffered a stroke. The band was on small hiatus, but returned at 22. January 2013 and revealed that a new album is coming out next autumn.

Turmion Kätilöt Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Tuskalle naurat aurinko paistaa
Veri virtaa selkärankaa
Perkele huutaa jumalaa
Teräs hakkaa, viha kasvaa
Koneistolle vallan antaa
Veri kiehuu ja kasvot saa
Kuka synnytti pahan?
Kuka keksi vallan ja rahan?
Kuka maailmaan auttaa?
Sorkkaherran taluttaa?
Kuka synnytti pahan?
Kuka keksi vallan ja rahan?
Kuka maailmaan auttaa?
Sorkkaherran taluttaa
Kirosana
Kirves
Kauhu
Rietas ja kiimainen kansanlaulu
Kuka synnytti pahan?
Kuka keksi vallan ja rahan?
Kuka maailmaan auttaa?
Sorkkaherran taluttaa
Kuka synnytti pahan?
Kuka keksi vallan ja rahan?
Kuka maailmaan auttaa?
Sorkkaherran taluttaa
Kuka synnytti pahan? (Kuka synnytti pahan?)
Kuka keksi vallan ja rahan? (Kuka keksi vallan ja rahan?)
Kuka maailmaan auttaa? (Kuka maailmaan auttaa?)
Sorkkaherran taluttaa (Sorkkaherran taluttaa)
The lyrics of Turmion Kätilöt's song "Rautaketju" are graphic and intense, depicting a scene of violence and chaos. The opening lyrics "Rautaketju selkää maistaa" can be translated to "The iron chain tastes the back," suggesting that someone is being whipped or beaten. However, despite the pain, the sun is shining and someone is laughing in the face of the suffering.
The lyrics go on to describe the build-up of rage and violence, fueled by hatred and the desire for power. The lines "Teräs hakkaa, viha kasvaa / Koneistolle vallan antaa" can be translated to "Iron strikes, hatred grows / Giving power to the machine." This suggests that the violence is being carried out mechanically, with no emotion or empathy involved.
The song raises philosophical questions about the source of evil, power, and the role of religion in the face of suffering. The repeated refrain "Kuka synnytti pahan? / Kuka keksi vallan ja rahan? / Kuka maailmaan auttaa? / Sorkkaherran taluttaa?" can be translated to "Who gave birth to evil? / Who invented power and money? / Who helps the world? / The devil leads us?" These questions challenge the listener to think critically about the nature of evil and the role of individuals and society in perpetuating it.
Overall, "Rautaketju" is a haunting and thought-provoking song that uses graphic imagery and philosophical questions to explore themes of violence, power, and evil.
